I hear you. I think the difference for me is when you have a runner on 2nd you know he’s trying to steal the signs. You’re not expecting someone in the outfield seats to be relaying them electronically to the dugout.

Lived in Dallas as a kid. I’m a rangers fan. I rooted for the stros for years when they weren’t playing the rangers, including in the World Series. with the cheating thing I kinda got away from cheering for them. More so probably because of how so many stros fans dismissed or downplayed the scandal. The Red Sox busted for the basically the same thing a year later, so I like to see them lose now.

I hate these series where I want both teams to lose. No point in watching when I can't root for anyone.

Ok, missing multiple starters. I also hear the quarterback excuse from y'all about that game, but y'all had 1 good drive the first three quarters when he was healthy.

For the record, I quoted someone on page one and made nearly this exact same post BEFORE I read page 2 of this thread and read your comment.

y'all should be 3-3, with two of those wins against bad teams (KP and Dayton have a combined record of 3-9, and BH is now 2-4). I get that y'all lost to carthage and manvel, but manvel is down a little this year, and carthage was missing about half their starters when y'all played them. I picked Crosby to win this week, but i haven't seen what you've seen that makes me assume they're going to beat the brakes off a 6-0 team.

what your second string does against a bad team with a 1-5 record doesn't really have anything to do with what your first string will do against a 6-0 team. I picked Crosby to win, but I'm expecting a competitive game.

HJ missed their chance at a state run last year, and won't have another realistic chance for quite some time. They were basically evenly matched with Huffman, but bombed out in the first round against BC. For the first time in a long time the 4A tournament played like the small town tourney it should be every year, and HJ had their best team for the better part of a decade. Combined with both Silsbee and Yates being way down, HJ should've been about 50/50 with Huffman to go to state. This area will be running through silsbee again for the next several years. They should have a very interesting competition for district this year between HH/HF/HJ. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of 2-loss teams tie for district champs.

When I worked at Bingman in BISD every child wore a seatbelt every time they were on the bus. Refusal to do so ended with them losing bus privileges. These were very young students, though.

I'm a Texas fan, and knew who she was through them, but I guess I somehow missed her playing career at BH. I wasn't as active on the boards for a few years, but I still am surprised I never realized she was from this area.
