You made a really good post and then ruined it with those last two sentences. BC squeaked by Huffman’s backup QB to secure the only winnable bidistrict matchup, beat a 4-seed by a field goal, then an average Navasota team by a touchdown. Now you’re claiming their third round game against Kilgore is the one that will likely decide the state championship? While I admire the confidence, there are 15 other teams left, and BC would maaaaybe be favored against two of them, and double digit underdogs to almost all of the rest. And no road to the state championship will include either of those two weaker teams. A Bridge City championship will require wins over four teams in succession that are light years ahead of any team bridge city has played this year.

BC keeping this one within two scores would be a very respectable result.

I’ll forever love Heim and Garcia for the role they played in our World Series, but neither has been very good the last two years. Sborz just couldn’t find his velocity after he came back from injury or he would still be a big part of our bullpen moving forward

I tend to agree. Hitchcock limited Hardin’s ability to eat the clock by stopping them pretty consistently. I don’t know that Yoakum will be able to do that. But Yoakum is going to score more than 9 pts

They kinda are, but IF they can get past Columbus and IF Hardin can get past Yoakum, it’ll be fun to see how the two matchup. The fact that Franklin only lost by 11 to Celina is pretty wild

Both Hardin and Franklin will have very tough games to win before they can think about beating each other

Crap. 3rd and 12. Timeout Hitchcock. What do they do here on 4th down if they don’t get it? Have to run on 3rd to make Hitchcock burn their last timeout.
