  1. Waaaaay too many missed tackles in the first half, but showing some fightback to make it a game at least. For awhile there I thought it was gonna get ugly.
  2. From the article: He did not provide specifics on how he intends to ensure it, but he wrote that it would "include such elements as an in-season platform to promote the work of our players on these core issues." I bet a lot of the protestors lose their enthusiasm for the cause when they have to do work and spend money to make a difference.
  3. Really nice win. Just a thought... perhaps not delaying every running play by a second by showing the qb option with him keeping his hands in there would help the Texas rbs hit the holes a little better. I'm cool with some of the time, but it sure seems like that slows the development of their run plays a lot because they hardly ever run a straight handoff
  4. Kick the fg on 3rd in case there's a bad snap or something
  5. Chance to move the ball and give Rowland a chance to win it
  6. Don't worry, in 80 years they'll change it to a win while they're in the middle of changing conferences so that nobody will notice.
  7. Bad thing is ksu has one of the best kickers in the country
  8. One thing I like about this team: a couple of bad breaks went against them early, and a couple of big plays. The last few years, this game would've been over at 10-0. This horn team has some fightback in them.
  9. He went for it questionably a couple of times against Maryland as well, and I thought those were turning points in the game. I like him, but that's four times already this season he's gone for it in questionable situations, and they're 0-4 on converting.
  10. i talked to a neighbor who's been running 3 small dehumidifiers in his (small) house for 3 weeks, and he said last night that his moisture is still around 50%. surely he's doing something wrong, right?
  11. I posted a longer winded version of this on another thread, but here's my take on this: if your manner of protest angers the audience you're trying to reach to the point that they care nothing about what you're trying to say, you've accomplished nothing. The discussion no longer has anything to do with police brutality, or mistreatment of African Americans, and now centers wholly around kneeling for the anthem. I think it's safe to say no progress has been made through these protests, and if anything they've driven the two sides further apart on the issue.
  12. I agree that athletes have the right to protest. I don't like the manner in which they're doing it, as both of my grandfathers fought for the flag they're disrespecting, although they also fought for their right to disrespect it. That being said, I have two major issues with their protest: the first is that they're protesting an issue that isn't anywhere near the problem that they'd have you believe. Based on the most recent fbi statistics, a police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black man than an unarmed black man is to be killed by police. While there undoubtedly are police officers out there mistreating black people, it's nowhere near the issue, especially in this day and age, that the media and BLM would have you believe. My other issue is with the manner of protest, not because of the disrespect of the flag, but because of its unintended (maybe) consequences. When you protest in a manner that angers those you're trying to convince to a degree that they have no interest in what you're trying to say, you've accomplished nothing. The debate no longer has anything to do with police brutality, or mistreatment of African Americans, and instead now centers entirely around the method of protest. In that sense, I'd say that the protest was wholly unsuccessful, as most of the NFL players' targeted audience now cares even less about what they're trying to protest, and a portion of them no longer tune in to see it.
  13. Well, that's about 10 out of 800,000, so do you respect the other 99.999%?
  14. My previous response is to this article.
  15. Well, the article questions how one person could hit so many people, and "expertly wield an automatic rifle" for so long. With 22,000 people standing shoulder to shoulder, and with him shooting extremely fast rounds, I'd be willing to bet he hit 300-400 people with the first 200 rounds he fired, which would've been in under a minute. It would be almost impossible for a bullet to miss someone. Also, with the minimal recoil of the AR-15, I highly doubt someone would become exhausted shooting it for ten minutes, especially with pauses in between to reload.
  16. you conspiracy guys... Get pissed at the Dylan Roof Burger King lies, and then get on here spreading nonsense conspiracy theories about the Las Vegas shooting a couple of posts later.
  17. Yup, they're fired up. Ags D is getting some serious pressure on the qb
  18. I guess you'd call it a crack back block? But he put the crown of his helmet into the side of the guy's head. And it was unnecessary, about 4 yds from the runner, who was literally at the half yard line. Sumlin went crazy on the sideline when they confirmed the call, which was dumb. I disagree with a lot of targeting calls, but this was pretty much a textbook case of a blow to the head of a defenseless player.
