  1. the path to citizenship is ridiculous. If you make it next to impossible, most people are going to do what they have to improve their lives. I'm not excusing their actions, but I certainly understand them.
  2. no problem with this. instead of decriminalizing it they need to legalize it. it's no worse than alcohol, and only a gateway drug because of the type of people one must come in contact with to get it.
  3. The singles I shot with a rifle. The five messed up and got in my trap
  4. Anyone else on here that lives out in the country been killing any hogs? These were all taken behind my house (ten acre field) since November.
  5. No. Judges are elected based on their political affiliation, and they should rule on decisions based on their affiliation, and the wishes of the constituents that elected them. While the insinuation here is that liberal judges are abusing their positions, in truth the vast majority of conservative judges make their rulings on just as obvious of political lines. Both sides consistently "interpret" the constitution in ways that benefit their political party. That just comes with the territory. THAT BEING SAID, there is no way that a judge in Podunk, Washington should have the power to make a ruling that can affect the entire country (Or a judge from Bumpkin, Tx, for that matter). The scope of power that these judges has must be reduced to the area in which they are elected, because a judge from Washington State damn sure doesn't represent me or my beliefs.
  6. Good. I got curious about the #NoDevonNoTigers, so I went on twitter, and there appeared to be a lot of people who considered the pep rally to be in support of Devon, rather than the team. Some of the tigers have made some tweets that certainly make it appear that they have not learned a lesson from Devon's punishment. I hope Devon himself has, and that the tigers coaching staff gets through to the rest of the players so that they don't end up in a similar situation later.
  7. i feel like you've made this point 20 times in the last 2 days. i think we all now understand that you feel this way. quoting yourself is unnecessary.
  8. yes. when the topic of the celina qb came up it was pretty unanimous across the board he should've been out for a long while. that being said, the difference between what he did and what McCain did is that what McCain did could literally kill somebody. now obviously that was not his intent, but to throw a haymaker from behind at someone much smaller than you who has no idea you're there is beyond dangerous. As for the kid who threw the punch getting one game, he was involved in a fight with someone who was fighting back. 1 game is too light, IMO, but his situation and McCain's have zero correlation, and can't be compared.
  9. Based on the video I've seen this is probably the correct course of action. The McCain suspension is a big blow for silsbee, but there probably isn't a program in the state better suited to overcome it.
  10. They'll be missed.... so Silsbee by only 25.
  11. sorry, didn't mean to post after this... was already in the middle of typing when you locked... and agree with the decision.
  12. yup, he shouldn't see the court (or the bench, imo) for the rest of the season. I just got a chance to view it. that's inexcusable, and its my understanding this is at least the THIRD time he's done something like this this season. If it had been handled the first two times, perhaps this one wouldn't have occurred. If that's my son getting hit I'm filing charges, without question. It's one thing to get wrapped up in the heat of the moment, in the middle of a bunch of bodies and swinging arms. It's another to run across the court and sucker punch someone who's not only not looking at you, but not involved in the fight. This was clearly a conscious decision to go after that player and sucker punch him, nothing less, and his history doesn't lead me to believe any different. It's always nice to see a quick apology in situations like this, but an apology and a sucker punch could still be worth a felony charge. it's hard to know if the motivation behind the apology was genuine remorse for the actions, or remorse for the consequences that may result from the action (possibly costing his team a state championship, or missing out on helping them win one). It's been my experience that oftentimes the players who consistently do stuff like this are always quickest to apologize afterwards, only to do it again somewhere down the road. I hope that his coach, who has clearly let this behavior slide with him already (unless we're to believe that multiple people not involved with the program have seen the video of other instances of similar behavior, but the coach for the program itself has not), will step up and punish him accordingly. If not, he's doing him a disservice. I don't want to see another great local athlete go off to college and squander a career because they're being held accountable for their actions for the first time in their life, and can't stay out of trouble.
  13. Edit: Never mind, question answered reading further through the thread.
  14. I totally agree. But before this year, last year's team was probably the best silsbee team ever, and they didn't play a great game in the finals and a team that IMO they were better than beat them. The same could happen this year. But I'm rooting like crazy for them, and hope to see them bring a title back to setx.
  15. And if not that, then the Gabriel "Butch" Pruitt Memorial stadium works for me.
  16. cash me ousside. how bout dat?!?!?!
  17. And HJ is better than both of them. It is what it is.
