True. Their loss to Michigan is hard to overlook. That being said, we've been hearing from the committee for two years that conference championships and head to head are both important factors. Penn St won the toughest conference in the country, and won head to head against the team that the committee wants to put in ahead of them. by rankings, their win over Ohio St qualifies as the single best win by any program in the country this year, and they just added a win against #6 to go with their win against #2. They have two losses, but have a longer current winning streak than anyone in the conversation outside of Alabama. Their loss to Pitt was by an almost identical score as Clemson's loss to Pitt, and most people have Clemson as a lock. I think a healthy argument could be made for putting Penn St in over any team that makes it ahead of them besides Bama. Personally, due to their continued unwavering support of Joe Paterno after he knowingly let one of his coaches rape little kids for decades, I'm hoping for Penn St to get left out, and for all of their fans to be left bitter and heartbroken. That being said, I'm also hoping that the controversy that will be generated this year when someone who's deserving gets left out, regardless of which team it is, will lead to an 8-team playoff sooner rather than later.

2016-17 TABC State Rankings, updated Feb. 20 (FINAL)

Last year's 1a state champs avinger not ranked. Their coach moved down the road to Jefferson and apparently took his three best players with him. Considering they only had 7 on the roster, and about 15 boys in the whole school, they're not very good this year -
Wos is in a class of their own in this region. First real test of the season next week, but I still expect a fairly comfortable win

Texas got a decent win tonight against Bama. They needed it after an underwhelming start to the season

HJ got beaten by New Braunfels 81-51 this morning. They have a good team, but did lose in OT yesterday evening to Laredo Nixon, who the hawks beat earlier in the tourney. Hopefully the hawks will bounce back in their next game.

That's not good. If they can't hand check and play physical this one could get ugly -

West Brook's Flanigan Placed on Administrative Leave

I would assume videoing in an area where people of any age, but especially minors, are getting undressed would be illegal for obvious reasons. Just like a department store can't put video cameras in their dressing rooms to stop shoplifters -
Sounds like a heck of a game

I was all for waiting it out with strong and giving him every opportunity, but this season hasn't been mediocre enough to justify it. This was an aweful loss.

Great start to the 3rd!

El campo is 2 hours one way and Henderson is 3 hours the other. I'm not surprised there aren't many fans of either team that's active on this particular website

that's the funniest thing I've read on here in a long time. they were fine with God allowing people to murder innocent cops, and they were fine with God allowing thousands of inner city teens to kill each other each year, and they were fine with God allowing people to use social injustices (both real and imagined) as an excuse to rob, steal, and kill, but they have a problem with God "allowing" Trump to be elected. If they truly were Christians as they claimed, they're the most hypocritical and wishy washy Christians I've ever heard of, and growing up in the church I've been around plenty of hypocritical and wishy washy Christians.

I think I've pretty clearly stated why I take exception to it.

I've heard about a few of these incidents, and for the most part they sounded unbelievable, like something that had been made up to justify the hatred of trump and trump voters. This incident in particular rubbed the wrong way and sounded false. I'm glad to know that they figured out the truth, and also that she's been charged for her lies.

not at all. but when voting for a NATIONAL office, a national vote is in order, not a vote that is determined in any way by the amount of people in a state. Just like when we vote for governor... should we start delegating votes based on the size of counties? Should the counties around Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso be enough to elect democratic governors every year? Hardin county gets two votes, but Dallas County gets 40. And regardless of the breakdown of the voters in each county, all votes go to the winner of the county. It doesn't make any more sense here than it does nationally.

this is truly unfair. it dilutes the individual voter's vote even further. 80,000 conservatives in Montana should not be able to cancel out 4,000,000 libs in California (I made those numbers up, but you get the point), just as the reverse that the district of Columbia should not cancel out the millions of conservatives in texas
