San Francisco Waking Up? SF passes two conservative acts
bullets13 posted a topic in Political Forum
San Francisco passes law-and-order measures by large margins, including drug screening for welfare recipients (msn.com) -
every person who's firmly on either side is going to vote for a cake-walk candidate. If you thought trump wasn't going to do a very good job you'd still vote for him because he's a republican. Almost all Rs would. I can't stand Trump, but I'M DOING IT. It's a funny double standard that the right really gets hung up on.

I agree with this entire paragraph. It still doesn't change the fact that there are people who would rather more of the same than more of trump. It's fine to blame them, but if you know they're going to vote against him and put him there anyway don't whine if he loses the election. This is the literal definition of Donald Trump, and there's a fairly reasonable fear from some about what he'll try to do if he gets his power back. I think that's something that a lot of righties like to brush over or ignore, whereas the moderates will settle for Biden over risking what they perceive (based on the things coming directly from his own mouth) Trump will do if elected. This last one i disagree with wholly. Any republican that isn't one of the main Trump disciples would win easily against Biden, Harris, or Newsome this election.

Same story, different day. The right blaming those "stupid voters" for not voting for the far-right conspiracy theorist TV reporter. I mean, hell, she sounds great on paper. The responsibility is on the party to put out decent candidates. Just like when mush mouth won in Pennsylvania because he was running against Dr. Oz, of all people. Trump endorses people who will parrot everything he says, and there are enough worshippers of him to get them the nom, but not enough people to go along with it during the general election. I swear at this point if Trump endorsed a dog turd the right would give it the nomination and then blame moderate and lefty voters for not electing it. Trump wasn't a bad president, but he's a terrible candidate. Consequently, the candidates he endorses who act just like him are also terrible candidates. You can say the politics game is stupid, and it should only be about results. I don't disagree, but it's now how it works. Republicans can't refuse to play the game correctly and then blame the other side for when they lose. It's asinine, and it's also costing us a lot of elections.

I give my dad a hard time about not buying land when he could for cheap. He could've picked up a couple hundred acres near where we hunt now for less than $75K back in his early 30s and passed on it, and that same place some for almost $2M awhile back. land is one of the few things they aren't making any more of.

good deal. I've got plenty of places to hunt, but always looking for more options, but nothing I'm willing to pay for. I find people who have problems they need taken care of. Already have a paid lease for deer.

location, and does it have pigs or predators that need killing? 😁

It's a toss-up IMO, which is crazy considering how poorly Biden has done, and his cognitive state. Republicans insisting on running the only candidate that has a chance of losing against him is also crazy, but here we are.

SCOTUS Rules 9-0 That President Trump Can Appear On Ballot!

This was the only result that was ever going to happen Insane that the states tried to do this. -
I hope it's not her. She's as close to a Trump clone as it gets, and almost as unlikeable. She isn't swinging ANY votes.

Ok, a cheerleader, someone who will go along with everything he says, who would never dare say anything bad about him, never question what he does, no matter how outlandish, inappropriate, or illegal. Look at how he's gone out of his way to try and torpedo countless politicians who spoke out against him. He's often petulant, like a little kid who got told "no." Trying to ruin political careers several levels below him simply out of spite is insane, but he's done it repeatedly. I'll be shocked if his choice is someone who he thinks will get him extra votes instead of someone who'll stoke his ego. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I'll still say the best option he could go with for a purely vote-getting standpoint is Nikki Haley. The amount of angry responses I get from Trump supporters any time I bring that up is the exact reason she'd be the perfect running mate. He won't do it, though. He wants a puppet.
