  1. apparently they don't have an issue with it.
  2. The fact that they’re still alive almost 25 years later is mind boggling to me.
  3. A wet field definitely benefits WOS. HF’s sophomore running back has improved since taking over for Augustine after his season ending injury, but WOS definitely has a major advantage on the ground. For HF to win this one they’ve got to be sharp through the air, and wet conditions aren’t ideal. Hopefully the rain holds off and we see how these teams do strength Vs. strength.

  5. Here’s a thought for you: I have 3 good Mexican friends who were brought into the country illegally as children. Through the dreamer act they were able to go through the process legally to become US citizens. It was a long process, and this was the first election they were able to vote in. All three are hard workers and make pretty good money, and subsequently pay a lot of taxes. All three voted for Trump. It appears that the left’s attempt to flood the country with new voters is starting to backfire. It seems that even immigrants, once they become legal and pay taxes and come off the govt teat are trending towards being somewhat conservative. I talked to one of them tonight and he told me “we worked hard to get where we are, and we don’t want them just letting everyone in either.” And apparently to some degree this is happening with black voters as well. When you work hard to get to where you are it’s a lot less appealing to give large chunks of your money to those who refuse to help themselves. The irony is that without a doubt DEI initiatives created some newly financially stable voters who don’t like the idea of their earned money being taken from them and redistributed to those who don’t work. 1 in 4 black males in Georgia voted for Trump. 60% of Latinos in Michigan voted for Trump. Those are incredible numbers!
  6. Democrats have got to fix something pretty quick, because it played a big part of this election: there's this air of superiority coming from the left, and it stinks. EVERY SINGLE EDITORIAL I've read today focuses at least in part on the idea or assertion that everyone who voted for Trump is dumb, or was tricked, or is naive. Either that, or we're racists, or facists, or any other number of unflattering descriptors. Screw that. The left better figure out real quick that they've got to make some major changes in policy. Doing whatever they want, making the American people suffer through it, and then telling us we're in fact doing great, and bad people if we don't like it isn't going to cut it anymore. People who don't want men in women's sports and locker rooms aren't bigots. People who don't want an unchecked flow of illegal aliens coming across the border are not racists. And people who believe that the economy and inflation aren't getting better because they're poorer than they've ever been (even while making more money) are not stupid. A whole lot of Trump's baggage is real, yet more than half of the country chose him over what the left was offering. If that doesn't send a message, I don't know what does. I've been very honest on here about how I feel about Trump. I can't stand him, and yet I voted for him. Millions, probably tens of millions of people who can't stand him voted for him. African Americans voted for him at a record rate. Hispanics voted for him at a record rate. Explain that. Democrats better realize quick that they AREN'T better than the rest of us. Half their voting base can't change a tire, yet the right is constantly portrayed as uneducated and dumb. The left better lose the superiority complex and regain some of it's sense. If they don't start making some reasonable legislative decisions that appeal to the vast majority of it's voting base, then there are going to be a lot more issues for them.
  7. It broke alright, as in broken.
  8. Thankful that Harris didn’t win. Here’s hoping that Trump devotes his energy to improving the country and not getting even with those who’ve gone after him. That’s my biggest concern at this point. If the next four years are better than the last four then it sets up well for a Vance presidency the next election. I also hope this leads to some changes in the Democratic Party away from the insanity that they’ve been pushing the last 8-10 years. I think this election was mostly decided by the economy and our suffering pocketbooks, but was also a referendum against a lot of the woke nonsense they’ve been peddling. Allowing men in women’s locker rooms and sports, supporting attacks on Israel, being soft on criminals, and putting the needs of illegal immigrants over those of the American people all helped swing this election. Oh, and replacing one terrible candidate with one who was just as bad didn’t help either. Here’s to hopefully 4 much better years!
  9. Back down to 89
  10. Up to 91%. Called North Carolina for trump
  11. NY times projecting trump to win 287 and currently have him at 72% chance of winning
  12. I’d tell you to swing by and get some trout but I haven’t fished in about 3 months and the freezer is pretty bare
  13. I thought it was weird that Graham is so high at 8-1, but I looked at their schedule: their loss is to the #10 4A-D1 team, and of their 8 wins, 7 of them are shutouts. They beat undefeated Brock 38-0 this week. Dang impressive
  14. I think three things played a part in it: 1. SoS. 2. HF’s loss to Hitchcock looked real bad on paper due to two pick sixes in desperation mode turning that into a 70-50 game or whatever it was, and 3. Name recognition. A few weeks ago they were both 5-1 and deserving of state rankings but there was only room in the top-10 for one of them when HF smoked Silsbee. WOS is a traditional power and their loss didn’t look as bad (although I think healthy Hitchcock beats WOS, too, at least early in the season). This week i think 3 teams from 5-10 lost and they had room to stick HF there. I think both rankings are fair, and probably would be if they flipped them as well.
  15. Just a reminder that while a little trolling is okay, personal attacks and profanity (even abbreviations and symbols) are not allowed. I cleared out and cleaned up a few posts in this thread without issuing warnings, but will do so if it continues.
  16. This was satisfying to watch because of a couple of Aggie fans I know (and a whole lot of nuts online) who lost their mind after last week thinking they were going to win out or something and talking all kinds of crap about the horns playing a close one with Vandy on the road and how Texas won’t be able to move the ball against the Aggie D-line. For the rest of you, it sure seems like Elko has y’all are headed in the right direction. Looking forward to renewing the rivalry.
  17. When he caught it his other foot was on the ground in bounds. Then the first step took him out of bounds
  18. Paying almost twice what you used to for just about everything… no issues with that? Congratulations
  19. Give me HF by 10. Nobody has slowed their offense down all year apart from LCM in the mud bowl. Their defense was a question early on, but their first team defense has given up about 3 touchdowns in the last 6 weeks, including completely blanking Jasper for 3 quarters a week after the dawgs put up 5 touchdowns against WOS. Their secondary is pretty dang good with Pirtle and Starnes going both ways, and their running D is much improved. Fun fact: Ty Bryson over the last 4 games is 68 of 81 for 1203 yds, 16 TDs and 1 interception. On the year he’s completed 75% of his passes for almost 2700 yds, with 33 TDs and 7 ints, 4 of which were against Hitchcock. Maybe WOS stops him, but I’ll be a little surprised. The stangs D is better than last year, but they’ve still given up a lot of points in some games.
  20. You don’t? I make more money than I did 4 years ago and have a lot less left over at the end of each month. So the govt can say whatever they want about how great we’re all doing, but my bank account doesn’t lie. I’m thankful to be in a position where I’m not going hungry, and can afford some nice things, but I’m definitely less comfortable than I used to be. The only people who don’t notice or don’t care are the ones who make so much money it doesn’t effect them or who get everything given to them for free.
  21. The question is what will drive the moderate swing vote: the fact that many feel one candidate is repugnant, or the fact that they’re all way worse off than they were four years ago, despite what the media is trying to tell us.
  22. Think that’s 20 for me then
  23. For the fourth or fifth straight week my streak of too little too late continues. Another decent night, 19 or 20 I believe
