Palestine Westwood/SEC rules no forfeitures, AD/HC suspended

Seems like the most likely reason. Not sure how they could anticipate a ref shortage that far in advance -
lying about what? allred voting to allow men in women's sports? and your evidence is that Allred says so? Go look at Allred's voting record.

I read about 4 pages of 36 on a different site today and saw some comments that were pretty interesting. -

just so we're clear, it is your position that the other athletic directors are lying about this game being moved and them not knowing about it? -
Vince Young to be Inducted into 2024 SEC Legends class

As best I can tell he had a career 1.000 winning % against the SEC with a 1-0 record. So the honor makes sense. -
everyone in the district is pretending they don't know the answer to this question so they can enjoy the rest of their regular season games.

Some folks just don't know when to quit. He got off pretty light, and his players won't suffer at all. -

they had 7 straight losing seasons and then went 9-3 last year, and are 7-0 this year. but as someone said, the qb is the main catalyst there. -
Nonsense. He’s saying it now trying to get votes, but his past voting record doesn’t lie.
-
Yup. Comfortably, I believe
-
I think you misunderstood which team he’s talking about, unless I’m mistaken on which district they’re paired with in the first round.

Curious to see what WOS does against Silsbee this week. I'm not one who's generally guilty of the "common opponents" game, but HF absolutely dominated Silsbee and Jasper, with those games being complete blowouts until the second string gave up points in each game. WOS was very lucky to escape from jasper with a 39-36 win. HF was up 42-0 after three quarters on jasper one week later, and I don't know that Jasper had more than a couple of 1st downs up to that point. WOS needs to comfortably beat Silsbee this week or HF should be a big favorite going into that final game.

i get it, but still decent wins. not like beating some 1-6 team or something. i can think of another undefeated team that hasn't beaten but one decent team all year...
-
local news station has a poll up about this, and with 13K votes cast 96% were against it. IMO this is the social issue that will cost the dems most this cycle, not unlike the abortion stuff hurting the republicans during the midterms.
-
I think the cooper and Joaquin wins are pretty decent as well.

gonna be tough to explain how he didn't notice while several people several rows away did. the video of him videoing isn't going to help his case, either. it's impossible to sit next to someone for an hour with them videoing every play and pretend you never noticed. -
GS and Lone Oak are both 7-0 and playing friday for the district championship. What's interesting is Lone Oak was 4-6 last year, and 0-10 the year before. Grand Saline was 4-6 last year but has been up and down the last several years, kinda alternating 4-6 and 7-4 records since at least 2019. Both are solid this year, though. Grand Saline beat some pretty good teams pre-district.

daingerfield is 3-5 but they've played a super difficult schedule. If they meet up Newton will be the 4th or 5th best team they played this season to that point. Definitely battle tested.

My District Picks (coverage area districts)

Kinda what I figured. I guess if it's only lasting two years it's not too big of a deal, although they need to consider making all big city schools D1 in their classifications. -

If they'd gone to two divisions 15 years ago I bet there would be at least 3-4 more 4A championships in our coverage area in that time, maybe more. I don't know if I'm a huge fan of it, but at least some of these big city schools won't get to just beat up on the little country schools. Not sure of exactly how they're doing it, but IMO any 3A-4A school from a city of more than say 100,000 people should automatically be opted up to D1 in their division for the playoffs.
