i get it, but still decent wins. not like beating some 1-6 team or something. i can think of another undefeated team that hasn't beaten but one decent team all year...
-
local news station has a poll up about this, and with 13K votes cast 96% were against it. IMO this is the social issue that will cost the dems most this cycle, not unlike the abortion stuff hurting the republicans during the midterms.

I think the cooper and Joaquin wins are pretty decent as well.

gonna be tough to explain how he didn't notice while several people several rows away did. the video of him videoing isn't going to help his case, either. it's impossible to sit next to someone for an hour with them videoing every play and pretend you never noticed. -
GS and Lone Oak are both 7-0 and playing friday for the district championship. What's interesting is Lone Oak was 4-6 last year, and 0-10 the year before. Grand Saline was 4-6 last year but has been up and down the last several years, kinda alternating 4-6 and 7-4 records since at least 2019. Both are solid this year, though. Grand Saline beat some pretty good teams pre-district.

daingerfield is 3-5 but they've played a super difficult schedule. If they meet up Newton will be the 4th or 5th best team they played this season to that point. Definitely battle tested.

My District Picks (coverage area districts)

Kinda what I figured. I guess if it's only lasting two years it's not too big of a deal, although they need to consider making all big city schools D1 in their classifications. -

If they'd gone to two divisions 15 years ago I bet there would be at least 3-4 more 4A championships in our coverage area in that time, maybe more. I don't know if I'm a huge fan of it, but at least some of these big city schools won't get to just beat up on the little country schools. Not sure of exactly how they're doing it, but IMO any 3A-4A school from a city of more than say 100,000 people should automatically be opted up to D1 in their division for the playoffs. -
I saw one of those KBMT polls where you could pick who you're voting for, and it was about 76/24 for the Donald.

Silsbee vs West Orange Stark Predictions
bullets13 replied to BADSANTA's topic in High School Football
feels like a toss up. I asked earlier and nobody answered, but how healthy is Silsbee? If they bring the same triage unit to the game that they brought to HF, I think WOS wins comfortably. But if most of them are healthy now then I think it could go either way. -

how healthy is silsbee? -
they're still good, just not as good as last year and played a really tough schedule (as you well know)
-
HF should be ranked at this point. Guess they’ll have to wait until the last game of the season to replace WOS, unless Silsbee beats them

If anything the UIL is often too lax in enforcing stuff, so if they took this severe of an action they must feel pretty good about their case. -

crazy. maybe that explains their quick rise after being bad for so long -
based on? When BC whooped Vidor after LCM struggled with them, and beat up on L-town, I thought, "hmm... BC might be a lot better than LCM." But then BC squeaked by an HJ team that LCM beat by 36, and struggled with 0-7 Livingston. and herein lies the issue with all the folks who've been proclaiming how great BC is: their marquis win is over a 3A school with two losses. I can't look at these last two results and dismiss them as off weeks because they've literally not beaten a quality team all year except for one pretty good 3A squad. Even if BC beats LCM, their marquis win becomes a win over a decent 4A school with a 4-3 record. They had some impressive results early against probably the creampuffiest schedule I think I've ever seen, but the last two weeks they've struggled with losing programs. To me this game is truly a toss-up, but neither team is going to gain too much credibility for winning it, although I'm sure Cardinal fans will expect that. it'll all become irrelevant the first round of the playoffs.

Livingston (20) @ Bridge City (32) - FINAL

And BC has been turning the ball over like crazy against HJ and Livingston. Rest assured the LCM defense is considerably better than both of those squads. -

whether they finish 1st or 4th they're losing first round. but if they don't finish first they're getting blown out. -
But what bad call did they make?
-
Texas at least accomplished one thing in the second half. With 12 teams making the playoffs, they really didn’t need a blowout loss on their resume. The defense wasn’t bad. The o-line was terrible.
-
I get it, but Texas would’ve been screwed worse if they hadn’t changed the call

Ewers had happy feet by the end of the game. Throwing off the back foot. To be fair, he’d been hit enough by that point that I get it
