  1. Whataburger tourney: Hamshire Fannett 54 Brock 50 Hamshire Fannett 62 Randall 83
  2. I would like to see them rotate it out of fairness, but travel doesn’t have much to do with it. The best football in the state at just about all levels is in the Dallas area. Due to demographics you can eliminate 2/3 of the state having a chance every year.
  3. HF starting to get healthy. Hopefully Pirtle comes back soon.
  4. Probably wants a qb that can actually get him to the endzone.
  5. it's mentioned multiple times online, including on wiki, in regards to being part of the dfw metroplex. for whatever that's worth. I looked it up because I wasn't even sure where exactly it was.
  6. they've gotten hammered this year, as best I can tell, between kids transferring and losing big name recruits.
  7. I think what hurts even more than those years is what the last 4-5 years of Romo could’ve been if he’d stayed healthy. I think the boys get a ring, maybe two. He spent his entire career keeping a mediocre team relevant, and they finally put a good team together and he didn’t get to play with it
  8. Definitely agree with that. they played well in Philly. Last night was awful, but they committed a ton of dumb penalties in the first half or that game is close at the half. As it was, it was over by then. I do think this version of the cowboys is the best we’ve seen in the Dak years, I just don’t know if it’s enough to get them over the hump.
  9. With the 5 game stretch they’re in I was okay with them winning 2, and 3 would be a bonus. They’ve won 2, and have 2 chances left at a 3rd. I’m good with it
  10. They’re a bottom of the upper tier team. Probably 5-6 teams better than them this year. When they’re on they’re good enough to beat anyone, but I expect them to lose more than win against those 5-6 teams better than them. It is what it is. They’re going to the playoffs again, and they’re good enough that if they get there and get hot, anything can happen. Diggs getting hurt was a huge loss on defense for them. I’ll still take this team over the Quincy Carter years 😀
  11. Joke is on them. Depending on the caliber of woman they set him up with, he's liable to end up with someone trying to find a way out of setx and into the big city
  12. setxathlete did a good job answering this for me. why not leave PNG and go make more money somewhere with more prestige and state of the art facilities? If he's confident in his ability to win anywhere (why wouldn't he be), it makes total sense to go take a high profile job somewhere, especially if he has any dreams of moving up into the college ranks. I hope that he stays for awhile, truly. but there's a lot of desperation in this thread from PNG fans (totally understandable) that is misrepresenting just how much better it would be for him to stay here versus taking over a big-name program somewhere else. And if he's going to do it, now's the time. PNG isn't going to sniff state every year, and his stock may never be higher than it is right now, especially if PNG comes back to earth the next couple of years.
  13. I hate to break it to you, but at least 75% of the single women in southeast texas don't even have the first clue who he is.
  14. Yup. That pay raise and extension is nice, but also drives up the asking price when the offers from other schools start rolling in
  15. Stupid penalties have led to every single touchdown. Game should be 3-3 right now
  16. I’m not misunderstanding your point. Katy high has lost like 6 games in 5 years, though, and been to the state semis two out of the last three. You’re overstating their demise. If anything, with the buzz surrounding him now he’d pull talent back from those other Katy schools, although it’s not like there’s not a ton still there. But the same holds true if he wants to take a job in any big city for more money and prestige. But as I said, it would be cool if he stays here. I just don’t think your reasoning will be why if he does. The community is the only thing that has a shot to keep him here.
  17. I’d start work on it January 2nd, if he’ll commit to staying 5 years.
  18. He’s made his name at this point. if he goes to Katy (or literally anywhere else, for that matter) the talent will find it’s way to him, just like you’re suggesting would happen here if he stays at PNG. Joseph and company definitely realize this at every level. Maybe he loves it here and stays, and I hope he does, but PNG isn’t offering any advantages that he can’t get in a bigger, more prestigious position. The suggestion that he can pull in outside talent around here but not anywhere he chooses to go is wishful thinking.
  19. So it was the athletes on the other side yesterday when Bellville lost by 2 in a game that they blew, but today in this one, it wasn’t the coaching that beat them when the athletes lost. Yesterday it was “turnovers are part of the game. The athletes were the difference. Today it’s “a bad call was the difference, and why the athletes lost.” Bad calls are part of the game as well, amigo 😀
  20. Indeed. And the athletes won by 2, due to a failed PAT and two red zone turnovers. Not because they were more athletic.
