every time texas had a mini-run, OU was able to answer. the biggest difference in the game was the first 7-8 minutes. after that, as bad as they looked, the horns played OU pretty much even.

As i was saying... a 3 for AJ, a dunk for james, and we're down 6 just a minute into the 2nd.

If Abrams can hit a couple of big shots, and James comes in and gives his regular production, there's no reason that Texas can't get back in this... they played the last 10 minutes or so of the half +5, even with James on the bench!

some of you silsbee fans crack me up. at the beginning of the year, it was a "joke" because HJ had the worse record but was ranked higher. now HJ's schedule is "too easy" (despite a few common opponents and several games against ranked teams) which is why their record continues to improve while Silsbee's is dropping. it's irrelevant. i honestly can say i haven't seen any HJ fans on here criticizing the Silsbee program for dropping some games lately, but still several Silsbee fans have come up with excuses or justification for the losses. nobody blames you for losing to good opponents. quit worrying about trying to justify how Silsbee is better than HJ. they'll play in a few weeks, and if they win, you'll have all the proof you need.

okay, thanks... those are some good results from the JV against some teams that usually are deep enough to field strong JV's. If the varsity doesn't show some improvement this year, hopefully some JV guys can come up and make a difference.

i'd be more than happy to take either one of them to start a team.

both teams have done a good job scheduling tough opponents to prepare for district. i'm looking forward to seeing the head-to-head results.
