this post is ridiculous. on the tape i see a bunch of talking, some pushing and shoving, and then a human kamikaze. you have six choices, and only one doesn't place the blame on the coach from BC, and that one doesn't exactly place any blame on the coach from lumberton.

I'm not condoning violence, or saying that i would react that way. my whole statement was "Heck, just wait until the game is over and settle it in the parking lot, or EVEN better, be a real man and settle it without a fight." the point of that was that violence is the not the right answer here, but if you're going to be dumb enough to fight, take it out back rather than fighting in front of the kids.

No, it's a very fair sentence. He should not be involved in this league again, and I'm glad to hear he won't be. It's great that he's dedicated all this time to these boys, but he ought to have had the common sense and self control to know when doing something could lead to this type of punishment. Heck, just wait until the game is over and settle it in the parking lot, or EVEN better, be a real man and settle it without a fight. How much of what he's taught these children was undone when they witnessed what he did? He may have never had a complaint against him before, but he crossed a line that 99.9 little league coaches would never cross, and now he's got to pay the price.

The US looked impressive tonight with a young squad. Kenny Cooper scored a nice goal off a fantastic cross from Jozy, and then Freddy capped the scoring with a nasty freekick. The midfield moved the ball very well, and it was refreshing to see a couple of US forwards actually moving and creating with the ball at their feet. The defense was also solid, with Guzan only having to make a couple of saves.

Coach banned after brawl at Pee Wee football game By Julie Shehane An unidentified Lumberton coach has been permanently banned from the Pee Wee football league and could face criminal charges after authorities allege he assaulted a Bridge City coach Saturday during a game. The incident happened during a 7-and-8-year-old first year tackle home game against Bridge City being played at Lumberton Middle School. Injuries were reported as minor, according to Mike Minton, president of the Lumberton Youth Football and Cheerleading Association.
