  1. How is Brookeshire Royal? Obviously they're pretty good to make it this far, but does anyone have some solid numbers on them?
  2. I can't say enough about Baylor this year. They never give up! What an incredible run at the end to almost win it! The horns were lucky to escape with a win in this one.
  3. The aggies just seem to play so inconsistently. To their credit, OK State has been playing MUCH better the last couple of weeks, but this is still a game that the Ags should've won.
  4. So is Central pretty much out of the playoff picture?
  5. Glad to see my hawks pick up a win! Good job, guys!
  6. Vidor has won some tough games this year, but i think lumberton will be too much. Lumberton 4 Vidor 2
  7. This is a nice win for Nederland. Congrats to both teams on a hard-fought game.
  8. This one surprised me... I didn't even try to pick the winner, but i thought the score would be much closer, and that the winner would score in the 50's. Very nice (and convincing) win for the bobcats. With all of the talk about HJ and Silsbee, hopefully you'll be overlooked by some opponents and can show them just how deep your district is. Good luck! I hope to be following an OF playoff run on here during the next couple of weeks.
  9. After all of the back and forth, it was nice to see the hawks win this one big. I think the question about the best team in district is answered. That being said, Silsbee is a very, very good team, and are perfectly capable of going as far or farther than the hawks in the playoffs. Good luck to both teams, and hopefully we'll have a 4th game to talk about!
  10. they have to stand strong and let him play. PAM looked bad enough when it appeared that they changed the terms of his suspension so that he would be eligible for the playoffs*. It will look even worse if they go back on that now, and re-suspend him because of what others might think of them if they let him play. PAM is setting a precedent here: any rule or decision can be changed and rechanged. *I am not privy to inside knowledge of this situation, and am relying on what others have stated on here. It is possible that the original suspension allowed him to play in the playoffs. I seriously doubt that, however, as someone would've come on here and told us about it if that were the case.
  11. I talked to someone who knows Donahoe very well, and he said that Ryan was redshirted this year because his knee problems flared back up, so he's essentially a medical redshirt. The story I got on Netherly was that he chose not to return to Navarro after the Christmas break.
  12. I think MOST fans want EVERY local player to succeed, regardless of what school they're from, or what race they are, or what their income or family background is. The problem that J'Covan faces on this site is that his exploits have been well documented on here. Many of the fans posting about him have seen his antics in person, and many were there when he finally crossed over the line and got kicked off the team. Those who weren't there have certainly read several first-hand accounts of what happened. It's not surprising that most people have developed strong opinions about the kid. The thing is, i don't believe people are on here thinking "that black kid got what he deserved." They're thinking "that kid who walked away from his team got what he deserved." I think any kid who had done that at any school in the area would've been punished in a similar fashion. I know several coaches wouldn't have even let him come back for the playoffs, and several posters on here would make the same types of comments about any kid who did the same type of thing. As it is, I'm happy for both he and his teammates. Every kid his age deserves a second chance, even if it's his 2nd or 3rd second chance. I hope that he can come in and be an impact player, both on the court and on the bench. We know he's a giant on the court, but I'm ready to see if his time off has helped him to reflect on the type of player he needs to become in the locker room. Good luck to Brown and PAM in their game.
  13. Stackhouse's comments about going to NJ, having them buy out his contract, and then coming back to Dallas have league officials considering disallowing him to be traded. This is very good news for those of us who don't like this trade. [Hidden Content]
  14. yup, he did pick a nice time to hit his only shot of the game, didn't he?
  15. kinda what i was thinking... good luck Jags!
  16. I'm not even going to guess. I will say that the game should be low-scoring. OF has shown an excellent knack for slowing the game down and keeping their opponent from running the floor. My prediction: Whoever wins will win by less than 5 points, and neither team breaks 55 points.
  17. I'd still rather have Josh on my team, whether it be baseball OR competitive eating.
  18. thank you. the fact that this thread was already posted, combined with the fact that it seems like there's at least one game change every week, confused me a little bit.
