Would you like to make a wager on that?
3-1 I guess you mean. Which 19-4a team loses? Are you picking Livingston, Ozen or Central over Crosby? I know we have three losses but they have been to the average of the #10 team in the state, which all will be playing D1 by the way. I think we would beat Ned if we played them again. Riordan told Aston not to run that game (Willis too) and it was the very first game with a new coach and playcalling. Barring injuries or turnovers, Crosby is giong to roll up 450+ yards along with 30+ points on every other team this season. . . . . win or lose
? Wrong. They are building another middle school and elementary schools behind the existing schools, but no plans for another hs. Nothing south of I-10. Good try though.
I was actually trying to see if there was a real reason he was saying that. Since that's not the reason though, good luck with that streak. BH should get Vidor in the first round, guess we'll see if Denny or Quirante runs the triple option the best.
ahhh! time to resurect. barbies hill is playing OPEN this week trying to figure out how they'll win. needless to say, IF they figure it out, they will still drop the next 2 to Dayton and SC. I have to say, it isn't looking good for the hill. one and done again if they get by OPEN and make it.  ;D
Barring a couple more district losses, Vidor is going to be the team given the opportunity to keep the BH streak alive. Two teams that are a mirror image of each other, game should only be an hour long. Would love to see Crosby get another shot though.
 5.
Yes. This is not what we have come to expect from our teams. As I said before, we dont unrealistically expect to be in the state championship game every year. But, what we do expect is to at least compete. Thus far, we have been outscored 153-188, in starting the season 2-4. That is totally unacceptable. We expect better than this from our WB teams.
How many games has WB won the last two years? I saw one WB fan say "he (Flannigan) can't make the playoffs with Stump's players". Did Stump make the playoffs last year with his players? You're in a district with NS, LP, DP, and PAM. Besides La Porte, which one of those teams is WB consistently better than or have more talent than. Maybe La Porte but they have the #1 recruit in the state for the 2014 class, maybe DP but they're just extremely well coached and have over 1000 more kids than WB. Give the man time, it's not like y'all were expecting to make the playoffs this year anyway right?
 6.
Last years 19-4A was way more competitve from top to bottom. This years version goes like this. Teams that can beat each other on any given night BH Dayton Summer Creek Crosby Teams that are average but cannot compete with the top 4 Kingwood Park C.E. King Teams that probably wouldn't get in the top 4 of the local 3A district Humble New Caney New Caney Porter
I think competitive districts like this make teams more ready come playoff time. For years North Shore beat up their district and got hit in the mouth for the first time come playoffs and hence have one state title to show for it with arguably the most talented teams in the state over the last combined decade compounded by some bad early round losses. Teams like Dayton and Brenham on the other hand play tough games in the district which better readys them for playoff time. You have to remember KP was a playoff team last year in their district and was supposed to be better this year, they might only win 3 or 4 district games in 19-4a. I think that says a lot about your district when the top three teams are 19-1.
 7.

We are going to have to stop using head to head because how far the top and the bottom of the district are apart.  It is clear the class of the field is Dayton, Summer Creek, and BH. Crosby and K. Park fight over the scraps for the 4th spot.  So none of these three have played. Weeks 8, 9, and 10 will tell the story.  Who stays the healthiest and grades don't hurt will come out on top.
Agreed, but just for fun check out the leader stats on the Chronicle. You will notice BH and SC own most of the leads in stats. ]
Crosby is missing 605 yards of offense from the Willis game. Austin Walter is leading the district with 961 rushing yards. Justin Walter and Raelon Singleton are 3 and 4 in receiving. Aston Walter is second in the district in total offense behind Aaron Sharp. SC is number one in the district in total offense, Crosby is number two. BH has more yards but they have played one more game. The defensive number are pretty mediocre but 0 pts allowed and 100 total yards of offense from NC should help those numbers along with the Humble and Porter games at the end of the season.
 8.
I've only seen Crosby 3 times and all 3 times they played 1 half, either 1st or the last half so until teams have a chance and this is Kings last chance=lose season over soon 8)
The next two games Crosby plays are going to be against teams that are extremely desperate. A loss for either King or KP will end their seasons. I think Crosby could roll King due to the fact it's homecoming and the new board going up, kids are going to be fired up. KP is the only losable game I think, but Crosby should be up early in that one a force KP to throw which it doesn't look like they can do that well. Unless Crosby draws Brenham in the second round, I think BH is the best D2 team Crosby would play until Texas City in the regional final.
 9. No nail biter her Liltex. Only team left on the schedule has a chance of staying within 20 of Crosby is KP. Crosby has to go to Turner and play which could be a trap game, after that though it's Humble and Porter. Crosby should go into the playoffs riding a 5 game winning streak feeling pretty good about themselves.                               Crosby  45                               CE King  20
 10. What are the enrollments?
 11. I don't know about PA playing with 4a numbers, I thought 1950 or 2050 was the 4a cutoff but what is apparent is that Memorial is the truth. Playing a school with twice the enrollment in district play is rough. North Shore probably has 10 kids on their varsity that will play FBS football. Gives credence to that Cibolo rematch moniker, only problem is it might be Dayton's old nemesis Lake Travis you have to play in the semi-finals.
 12. I'm watching Friday Football Frenzy on tv and Ahmad Vital is reporting from the game. He say Sharp has all the tools and then some to be a major factor at the next level. I'm wondering why it's 14-0
 13. BH not looking good, SC not looking good, Dayton didn't have a noteworthy performance last week vs King. I think all three teams know what's coming and that neither of their opponents can actually beat them until the tournament starts. Seriously though, can't blame the kids for not getting motivated for 0-5. Good luck to the tournament teams.
 14. They just said on tv if central wins this game they should have the fourth playoff spot. Is Livingston not a factor?
 15.
I will be speechless if Flanagan can't make the playoffs with Stump's players.
Flannigan can make you look bad when he has elite talent, he's great at scheming up points when he has playmakers. However, when the talent levels are closer together (i.e. playoff time)some of his decision making can get questionable to put it nicely. I think his playoff record was something like 3-5 at Crosby which in turn earned him his job at West Brook.  Saying that though, I don't think Bruin fans will have to worry about his decision making in this one. 42-21 Deer Park. I think Deer Park and Memorial are the only teams in the district that can stay within 20 of North Shore. Maybe La Porte but they're too hit or miss.
 16. Why is Summer Creek in our rankings and North Shore isn't? North Shore should be considered more setx than Humble, right? I was just wondering 'cause the rankings include everybody else in the district except the Mustangs?
 17. Go get the chronicle bronco fans. I'd rather give you a head's up in hopes it will ease the storm.
Congrats Dayton.  You were not close to BH's performance against the same team, but hey, you are 6-0 on the way to 8 and 2...... ;) ;)
we felt the same way about the crosby vs bh game and your not 6-0.
Our season starts Oct 26.  Granted, it is often a 4 weeks season at that point........ ;D ;D ;D My Dayton game shirt should be here next week, still time if anyone wants one.... ;) ;)
Have you seen the chronicle this a.m.? They have Chambers' and McBride's pictures with a big article about the game. It's coming. . . . .
 19. Austin Walter just made the sickest run I've ever seen. I know it's new caney but i'm sure it'll find it's way to youtube. Side note, sitting in front of ce king players and coaches listen to them talk about how much better bh is than dayton.
 20. One of the fumbles was on 4th down and he was well short of the first. Its on youtube if you want to see it. Dayton also had an int. The dropped td in the endzone is because the kid had the crap knocked out of him. Thats on youtube to.
And the other so called TD dropped pass was right after the hard hit in the endzone and we had a player a few steps from hitting him.  That's why he dropped it, he heard the foot steps coming.  And think that is on Video also.
#88 dropped two td's in a row. One he just dropped with the kid a couple of yards away, Crosby ran the exact same play and he dropped it again, the hit cam after the ball went through his hands. #15 dropped one in the back but the Dayton kid was trying to make a play. Aston did fumble on 4th dn but the kid just swiped the ball out of his hand. Just 'cause a mare was close doesn't mean he wouldn't have shook them. I saw how proud y'all were of Chambers run on King but the twins have 25 of those apiece from their sophomore year. Like I said though, we can save this for next year since there's no way we will see y'all again. However, I will be talking ish on Dayton threads after y'all end the season on a three game losing streak. It will be similiar to the three year losing streak once my son gets on the varsity.
Sorry your wrong again #15 caught the td pass on Dayton's side of the field where we had the best view he had partial possession then got the holly crap knocked out of him and the ball flew out of his hands the next route he ran he heard pony tracks and quickly got rid of the evidence.
#15 did score a receiving td, he dropped another when he jumped over the Dayton kid's head. I'm talking about #88, Crosby drove down the field and hit him in the endzone and he dropped it. Crosby ran the exact same play and that's when he got hit after the ball went through his hands. Maybe you thought the hit was hard or he heard footsteps 'cause you're a mare fan, but pretty much looks like all the other drops we have on the year. Crosby is not used to trying to throw the ball this much so the kids are still getting acclimated to Riordan's system and playcalling, or so I hope.
That's a wWHOLE LOT of IF's..........  Here is another, IF residents East of the Trinity could drive over the Trinity River bridge, Port Arthur would be ranked 21st...... ;) ;) ;)
you still stuck on that?
dont listen to him. He had to change his screen name when dayton gave his coogs their yearly beating. Just like last year when vidor wasnt going to be able to handle crosbys speed. See how that worked out.
Came nowhere close to handling it. Vidor 308 total yards, 4 ypc - Crosby 412 total yards, 10+ ypc. Crosby just turned it over.
Ever heard of a bend but not breaking defense man? Yeah yall had a good yard per carry average but how many points did you get off that 10 yards per carry? How many times did you turn it over? Twice! So you blame 22 points on 2 turnovers? Really? Oh and it was 9.13 yards per carry for crosby and 4.57 yards per carry for Vidor.
Bend but don't break, let the refs call 'em back you mean? How many bs penalties did they call on Crosby? It's funny how Crosby hadn't lost a playoff game to a 20-4a team since Ozen in 2005 before losing to Vidor last year. Thursday night game up the street from Vidor's campus in a "neutral" sight because the school board refused to let there be a coin flip due to the fact they didn't want the kids to have to go to Vidor. All that being said I would love to see it again in Stallworth or GPISD.
STOP CRYING and MANUP... Vidor beat you all!!! There is nothing wrong with VIDOR. Good Schools good place to raise a family. I have lots of friends who live there!!!
Never said there was. Just saying the school board refused to let the kids go there.
Coogs looks like your school board are racists then
I'm sure they just didn't want to subject the kids to any cloaked biggotry. I heard the remarks some of the Vidor fans were making.
I heard worse biggotry from the Crosby fans at Lamar when Vidor was kicking Crosby's butt last year.
Please, our team is 50/50. I garuntee you, after the game nobody from Vidor was explaining their adolescent son what some of the things he heard meant. And weren't you in the concession stand or something? What did cougar fans do, walk up and make these remarks while they were ordering nachos? Don't slander us like that man. Stick to selling hotdogs idiot, maybe one day you can graduate to a window-licker.

 23.
And the year before that dayton beat gcm bh and crosby. So whats your point. Dayton had a down year and won 9 games. Fill me in on what crosbys defense could do to bh that dayton cant.
STOP THE RUN

Is it because you are pretty sure BH WON'T beat Dayton this time.. and your putting all your hope into SC thinking they can and will beat Dayton?  ???
yeah that somes it up. Crosby defensive stats are some of the worst out of everybody on setex. But somehow they stopped bh and dayton cant. Dayton even scores more points per game. Crosby just sux and it kills him. Everyone knows sc and dayton will be the game to watch. Congrats to sc on their win.
Crosby has played Nederland, SC, BH, and Dayton. I'm sure Dayton's defensive stats will be similiar after those games, especially after already giving up nearly 500 yards to Crosby. I'm sure those defensive stats will look a lot better after New Caney, King, and KP. And by the way, didn't BH stop Dayton last year when Crosby beat them? BH put 47 on King, Dayton struggled to break 20. Dayton threw for 6 yards on King, Creek went for 413 and that's with 6 fumbles. Dayton can't stop the running game and that's all BH does. I doubt they'll have many interceptions or dropped passes either.
we stopped Crosby enough (kept them out of the red zone most the night) to force them to throw a bunch.... game, set, match.
Crosby ran it around 40 times on Dayton and threw it a lot less. Only threw for like 200 yards on Dayton. Crosby was in the redzone at least 7 times I remember, but had two dropped td's, a fumble and clip or hold when Austin picked up a first down on 3rd and 1 on about the 10. Good game though, we'll hammer the rest of the teams on the schedule and hopefully the pass D will be lined out.
