Correction 4-4 with Dayton winning tie breaker.
I will be there Friday night to see this one.

3-5, my bad
They are 2-1 now. I don't see either Splendora or Humble beating them coming up. At worse 4-4 but in my opinion Porter is a playoff team. They have a good coach, a nice QB, and a Baylor commit on D. Number 40 led the district in sacks last year as well on the D line.

I see it like this 3rd and 4th:
3rd BH (2-2)- WINS Splendora, Humble, Porter LOSS New Caney (5-3)
4th Dayton- WINS Kingwood Park, Caney Creek, Porter LOSS Crosby (5-3)
5th Kingwood Park- WINS Caney Creek, Humble, Splendora LOSS Dayton (4-4)
6th Porter- WINS Humble, Splendora LOSS New Caney, BH, Dayton (3-4)
Of course my prediction will probably be blown out of the water since HS games are so unpredictable.
I see what you're saying, but Porter will get to play 8 district games I believe.

The way I see it, there are six teams that are in play for the four spots. I believe 5 wins will get you in.
Crosby is 3-0 with Caney Creek, Dayton, Splendora, Humble, and New Caney left. Finish no worse than 6-2
New Caney is 4-0 with Humble, Barbers Hill, Porter, and Crosby left. Finish no worse than 5-3.
Porter is 2-1 with Dayton, Splendora, Humble, NC and BH left. Two left that should be for sure wins. Porter will need to win at least one from the Dayton, NC, or BH games to get 5 wins.
Barbers Hill is 2-2 with Splendora, Humble, NC and Porter Left. Two left that should be for sure wins. BH will need to beat either Porter or NC to get 5 wins.
Dayton is 2-2 with Porter, Crosby, KPark, and Caney Creek left. One left that should be a for sure win. Dayton will need to win two games between Porter, Crosby, and Kpark to get to 5 wins.
KPark is 1-3 with Caney Creek, Dayton, Splendora, and Humble left. Three left that should be for sure wins. If Kpark beats Dayton they should get to 5 wins.
Given this and the teams wins the games they are supposed too then Dayton will have the harder schedule. Crosby will be in for sure and it appears NC is also. Kpark, Porter, and BH only need to win one against the contenders. My gut feeling is Kpark and Porter advance.
If 22 5A plays out like I think it will the matchups will be. Still a lot left to be determined and all of the seedings are still up in the air with my below predictions.
Crosby vs Vidor
NC vs PNG
Kpark vs Memorial
Porter vs Nederland.

NC could struggle last three you're right. They did not struggle against Splendora. They just ran the ball between the tackles. Splendora never threatened to score offensively. The Td they got was meaningless after a kickoff return inside the 5 with less than a minute. I believe they will do the same with Humble this week.
The game with Porter who knows. Porter has never beat NC but this could be the year.
Nichols was also injured in first quarter last week and did not return. Hoping he is okay but Splendora will need him to compete.

A loss to Dayton leaves them with 4 loses and if they struggle against Splendora like NC did could be 5 loses. NC could easily go 0/3 their last 3 games.

Kingwood Park will lose to Dayton.
Which will likely leave them with same record as the HIll. KPark would advance with head to head win.

1. PNG vs BH (png wins)
2. Memorial vs porter (memorial wins)
3. Nederland vs NC (???)
4. Vidor vs Crosby (vidor wins)
Who do you think KPark is going to lose to the rest of the way. They hold head to head with BH.

At least they seem to be playing some defense.
Splendora did not have much. Especially after Nichols went out in first quarter. Their score came one play after a long kick off return with about a minute left. NC has trouble stopping the run. Play pretty good with a young secondary against the pass.

Did the same thing against Dayton. Ran more dives than I have seen since I played high school. Lol. I think NC is just playing safe against teams they know can't beat them.
That is exactly what they did tonight.

Final 20-7
-
17-0 after three.
-
NC up 10-0 at half. been a very slopot game. we sure are not ooening up the offense at all.
-
3-0 NC 8:14 first

I believe this will be a tight game. Crosby will need to hold their emotions in check and not get the 15 yard penalties. Number 6 for Kpark is a player. Has great speed, but they play him both ways just about the whole game.

Everybody counting their eggs before they're hatched I see - 21 5a is still up for grabs we are weak and I don't see any world beaters. BH beat a formable Friendswood and now everyone is discounting them with the loss of their QB. Dayton is young and has shown some promise and actually out played NC the 2nd half if it weren't for play calling blunders their might of been a different outcome. If Crosby looses their RB they become a mediocre team like the rest of us. A loss by BH or Dayton doesn't mean squat a lot of football still to be played.
I was not counting anything. Only making a statement. I would never have thought NC would be a D2 team. Personally I do not see it playing out like this. I said in earlier post I thought NC would have trouble at BH and Crosby as both are on the road. I will say Kpark has surprised me.

IMO, neither one of these teams may make the playoffs. KPark, NC, Porter, and Crosby seem to have the advantage right now.
If this plays out the way you say here, then New Caney and Crosby would be the D2 representatives. That would set up a huge game between those two to end the regular season.

#2 was nice. Nice size speed and hands. Rest of the receiving core was average and several had some huge drops. The kicker really impressed me. Didn't look athletic at all but could kick the hell out of the ball. I had no idea that little rb was a freshman. Wasn't that impressed with him but now hearing he was a freshman I'm very impressed. Defense will give up a lot of points against a good offense IMO. The past 2 weeks against very average teams NC gave up over 500 yds rushing which will not get it done against playoff caliber teams. Not really sure what NC offense is really capable of because I got the feeling they were not showing much against Dayton. I think with that qb y'all have and his ability to run and throw NC could put up points for sure. Any way best of luck to y'all. Stadium is an awesome place to watch a football game.
Thanks and I agree with you. Losing a key senior linebacker really hurt our run D. The secondary are young, no seniors. We also have a freshman on the D line that gets a good bit of playing time. Good luck to the Broncos the rest of the way.

Cleveland wil be 5a for sure. I'm not saying NC or Porter will be 6a enrollment just think Cleveland find its way in Daytons district whatever that turns out to be. We will see though. Snapshot should be next year. I thought it was every 2 years with redistricting. Side note NC qb is nice. Receivers dropped to many passes but he puts it right on the money.
NC is about 15 minutes from Cleveland. Unfortunately, I think it will be Cleveland, Splendora, NC, Porter, Caney Creek, Kpark, Humble. If Livingston stays 5A then I would add them for 8 teams. I am not sure how the D1 and D2 will work out though if they do move 5A into divisions.
I do believe the snapshot is later this month for the next realignment, that is why I said 2019. Wish I could have seen the game. I watched it on Texanlive when I got home. Did you have any thought on how #2 looked for NC? Only a soph. He has some big time offers on the table including Alabama. Also # 21 who ran the ball quite a bit is a freshman. We did lose a all district LB from last year the first game of the year which was a blow to our D. Not sure if he will return as it was a knee.
