Keep seeing talk about all the D1 players this or that team has.  Just curious, how many D1's at New Caney or Porter?

Can't say for sure. I do believe Allison will play at a smaller D1. I would venture to say a couple more from Porter and NC will play at the next level although it won't be in the SEC or Big 12. Both schools have some good high school players though.

It looks like Dayton ran the ball pretty well on Porter last week, so I don't know. If Splendora can control the clock and limit the big play it's going to be tight!

Splendora will not be able to stop Porter's passing attack. Splendora has no passing attack and Porter will dare them to throw. They will stuff the box with 8. Nichols will probably break off one or two good runs. So I give them a couple of scores.

But Atascocia, New Caney, Porter, and North Shore are in the coverage area? Not trying to debate anything, just trying to understand.

At least one member who follows New Caney has been a member here since 2007. For the first few years NC was not in the coverage area. When we changed and joined a district with teams east of us then we were fortunately put into the coverage area. I am thankful for the SETX crew and them continuing to cover us.

New Caney can still lose and go into the last game with a chance to be district champs if other things happen. I think BH will be able to manufacture enough rushing yards for their offense to be effective. BH's defensive staff seems to be able to take away what teams do best, I think they'll do a good job against the zone read and the direct snap to Allison. New Caney's passing game is potent but it's simplistic. It basically consist of verticals and a run-pass-option or screen to the multi receiver side. Very effective but I think BH will defend it well enough to to make it a last team with the ball wins type situation.

An interesting stat from the Porter vs Dayton game was that Porter scored 44 points on only 46 total offensive plays, that game with Holley coaching will be a lot tougher than you think. They also scored all those points with only 8 rushing yards as a team.

Oh I agree the Porter game will be a shootout. But I believe our D is better than Daytons. Jake hall is a competitor and has a couple very good go to receivers.  Fortunately we do not have to travel for any of our last three.

I think BH is going to beat both New Caney and Porter. If we have a three way tie I think it's going to be between Porter, Crosby and Barbers Hill.

NC has two weeks to prepare for BH. BH will need to be able to run the ball effectively to beat NC. I don't see that happening.  Our secondary has played very well all year. I believe NC will go into the last regular season game with a chance to be district champions.
