It won’t be that close. No way Newton is giving up 28 points to a mediocre Silsbee team.

They have talent. It’s coaching. They are not focused on JV. It’s all about Varsity. They are loosing these kids. I don’t kniw who their #2 is but that kid is good.

Newton have been loosing great players for years and still be great. The difference between Newton and other teams is they prepare to lose players. The players coming up are prepared to be just as great This is why their program works. Yes WT is gone. But Drew has been groomed to take his place. Who do you think was coaching when WT was out sick? And like any father. He passed it on. Newton will beat Silsbee again.

When have anybody known Newton to pull away late? Newton will play Newton Eagle Football.

Defense is still intact. If not better.

Roney is fun to watch. Some forget he lead Newton to state in 2014.

Dude if you were watching the games. They cramped up in several games.

Newton will score more than that. And Silsbee May score 14.

Newton has had many big 3 in the past and still manage to come back. Never underestimate Newton. Loosing Barlow and Foster will not make that big of a difference. If teams think that, they have already lost.

It was the same way last year. They don’t condition. The proof is in the pudding.

Close game. We will see. Newton’s defense don’t give up many points. Regardless of who they play. If they give up 30 they have scored 60+.

Newton. Newton won 76-0 tonight. Was up by 60 at halftime. 5 different RB scored and the passing game was on point. Williams looked pretty good. And of course Newton’s defense is not giving their opponents an inch.

I predict to see Silsbee focus on their run game. Not sure if that’s going to be enough to win the game.

Gilder is playing at receiver. His dad was one of the best receivers for Silsbee back in 87-88. This kid is really a QB but since he hasn’t played football in high school at all he knew the spot would be taken up. But he’s good at receiver too. This could be their break out player.

So you are saying. Taylor wasn’t QB last year. And that their was no fight/disagreement between the parents. Wow. Silsbee fans are delusional.

Dude. I know Brown personally. You don’t know what you are talking about. What happened with Brown is a totally different subject. The kid was having personal issues and it had nothing to do with playing for another school or sitting out his senior year. The problem with blogs. People think they know everything when in fact they don’t. Get your information right before trying to comment on a subject.

Speaking honestly, Foster got the QB spot last year because they had no one else. The fight between the two families about their sons being QB( when one didn’t even want the position he was forced to play the position and later when he stood up for himself he was made a third string RB) Briscoe is the better QB. They know it. Silsbee’s problem is they don’t know how to utilize the kids that are better than the upperclassmen at their position. That’s why they will always be struggling to rebuild when they have graduates. So what if he is a sophomore. He is the better QB. If they can’t see it. That’s their loss.

I have known college to tell athletes they don’t even have to play their senior year. And that’s on a personal note. So please save it.
