  1. LOOK OUT! The Indians are on the WARPATH !
  2. You got a point there....hmmmm......the plot thickens!
  3. So, I'm confused....Stump is waiting for PNG to call him, then someone says Stump contacted PNG and left a message with no return call, and now Stump is waiting for PNG to call him....hmmm.....I guess I'm just STUMPED about this :!
  4. My question wuld be, if he WANTS the job THAT bad, why don't HE contact PNG? What separates him from going thru the process like the other applicants?
  5. Man, that is a GREAT idea! I think so too, seriously. That would be a wonderful memorial to a dedicated fan of PNG.
  6. Same here......I know Garrett wants the job, but also heard Faircloth wasn't that hyped about coming to PNG.
  7. www.oaoa.com/articles/spread_2861_oavarsity__article.ht - [Cached Version] Published on: 11/14/2008 Last Visited: 11/14/2008 For a guy who holds a high-profile, high-pressure position as Permian's offensive coordinator, Brandon Faircloth is a pretty laid-back guy. Smiles a lot. ... Faircloth isn't one of those disciples. "We're a multiple formation, two-back team," Faircloth said. ... "A spread offense wants the defense to line up, stay there and they call the play based on the defense," Faircloth said. ... By the time the Panthers snap the ball, Faircloth hopes the defenders have so many things to consider that their heads are spinning. Faircloth wants to play against a defense in chaos. "We want to give the defense as many formations to look at as possible," Faircloth said. ... "We will have 15 run schemes per week," Faircloth said. ... "That's part of our game plan," Faircloth said. ... Last week Midland High kept rolling both safeties to Permian's twin receivers - two wideouts on the same side of the formation - so Faircloth reached into the playbook and pulled out a play the Panthers used during the postseason last year. Panthers quarterback Trevor Adams hit tight end Shai Biggerstaff for a 50-yard gain on the play early in the third quarter. ... Just don't tell Faircloth how much you like his spread offense.
  8. Report: Permian's Faircloth applies for Port Neches-Groves head coach's job Comments 0 | Recommend 0 January 22, 2009 - 11:07 PM ODESSA AMERICAN Permian offensive coordinator Brandon Faircloth has applied to become the head coach at Port Neches-Groves, a Class 4A school with a rich football tradition, according to a list compiled by the Beaumont Enterprise. Port Neches-Groves will be hiring a head football coach/athletic director for the first time in 15 years. Longtime Indians head coach Matt Burnett has left the football program to become the outdoor athletic complex coordinator and attendance officer. According to a story in the Beaumont Enterprise, Port Neches-Groves was scheduled to complete its first round of interviews for the head coaching position today. The Odessa American was unable to reach Faircloth by phone on Thursday to find out whether or not he has been invited to interview. Since joining the Permian coaching staff in 2006, Faircloth has presided over three consecutives seasons in which his quarterback has broken Permian's single-season passing record, a streak that was capped by the 2,682 yards Trevor Adams gained this season. Faircloth also presided over Sherard Ray's 2,224-yard season this year, the second-best single-season rushing mark in Panthers school history. Port Neches-Groves has won three state titles - including a win over Permian in the 1975 state final - and reached the state championship game three more times.
  9. Indian Ken was a fan who dressed up each week in a full Indian headdress, leather suit, warpaint, the whole works. Hes sat in the stands and could really get the crowd going. He's been an Indian supporter for many years. He also was very active in the community and school activities. The kids loved him as did many fans. He was a dedicated PNG fan who personified.....Honor.........Pride...........Tradition! My prayers and thoughts are with his family at this time. Indian Ken
  10. You don't know. Being a coach at times, is a "Catch-22".
  11. My daughter just texted me from PNG High and stated the school got news this morning that Indian Ken has passed away. Please keep his family in your prayers!
  12. I believe Faircloth stated he wants the HC at Westlake. He obviously wants to be a HC somewhere or he wouldnt have applied for these positions. This is true.
  13. I believe Faircloth stated he wants the HC at Westlake.
  14. Keep us posted......the "natives" are gettin restless! ;D
  15. I agree....I think he came to PNG with a bunch of hype and expected them to give him what he wanted.....I'm glad he withdrew his name...he wasn't right for the job at PNG. Right now, as it stands, I think Chris Garrett is the frontrunner. He's had his interview, and front what I heard, the committee was impressed with his enthusiam, youthfulness, and motivation. Im not trying to be here to try to sell a "coach", but thats the fact. Now, I would also say, that if Stump wants the job, he needs to make a move. I don't think PNG will go crawlin to Stump and make an offer. I want a coach like everyone else, but I want the RIGHT coach to be Head Chief at The Reservation.
  16. The Westlake job isn't even open, nor will it be for a long time. That doesn't make any sense. I believe the coach at Westlake retired a couple of days ago at Westlake, thats the reason Faircloth withdrew his name.
  17. Haven't heard about Faircloth, but heard the same about Garretts interview. Heard he was very enthusiastic and would be a great motivator. Would like to see the Malone type of enthusiasm return. Me too. Heard Garrett had a really good interview with lots of enthusiam. Wish I knew if Faircloth had interviewed yet or not. Still wondering why all of a sudden Danaher withdrew his name. Something must have happened in the interview. He may just have gotten "cold feet" and 2nd guessed himself. Who knows! If the numbers I heard the job originally was going to pay is right then he(Danaher) wasn't getting a raise to come. Oh, ok. That could be it.

  19. So, Danaher is out. Chris Garrett, from what I hear, had a great interview. Has Faircloth even interviewed yet? I haven't heard if he has.
  20. Wow! You're kidding me! What were the issues? Do you know?
  21. I agree with you. He just wants a raise. Plus, PN-G doesn't want an old guy. They just reassigned one of those. I didn't say he was using PNG for a pay raise, but that "so much has been said that he's trying to use PNG for a possible pay increase" from CC.
  22. Hey, if you did, pleeezzzeee send some PNG's way! ;D
