GoDogs27...since you 'called me out on the board' with your obsession of  PNG, I'll bite. I was at the game, updating on my iPhone....heck yeah I was excited...I'm a true Indian fan and will remain one...and, btw, I didn't leave early.  If you don't like my posts, don't read them...no one is making you.  I'll be doing the same thing inthe future in support of PNG.  PNG has a GREAT fan base/following....I think you have a problem with it.  Moving on...Nederland got the win...they were the better team with a helluva defense.  Unlike you, who, in the first quarter, was already complaining about the officiating, I was supporting my team, not already complaining about the officiating...thats lame. I support Nederland the rest of the year except MCM. If Nederland is in the playoffs, I continue to support them. Go back and read my posts over the years, I have NEVER been negative toward the Bulldogs...BUT...I will support the Indians to the bitter end...win or lose...this is why I bleed "purple".....this is why I'm a loyal PNG fan. I relocated to PNG in 1984 for one reason...so my kids could go to school in PNGISD...to me, this is the best school district in Texas. Again, my opinion. I became an Indian fan then and have remained loyal to this day. You give the good people and fans of Nederland a bad reputation with your hateful spewing against PNG...and I have many very good friends in Nederland that would be embarrassed by your attacks.  I hope you don't do this to Livingston fans next week....we'll wait and see. [/quote] Honestly, TribePride75, I can't.  I've watched Jayce grow up through the years...the agility and flexibility of this young man to make some of the catches he makes, are unbelievable at times.  I've seen him go up several times against two, three defenders and come down with the pigskin.  As was stated earlier, I feel Jayce has "bailed" out Miller at times, however, Miller is a very good QB.  Miller and Nelson work very well together.  Just my opinion.

This year, on the MCM thread, it seems the personal attacks by BOTH PNG fans and Nederland fans has been a little too much.  I agree with GoDogs27, both Nederland and PNG teams have not reached the "elite" status because they DO have to prove something.  It's ok to jab here and there, but the personal attacks are lame.  PNG repsects Nederland and Nederland respects PNG when it comes right down to it.  These young men go out there in MCM and play their hearts out......we, the fans, are there to support them to the utmost of our ability, whether an Indian or a Bulldog. I will say this....as far as I'm concerned, MCM, however, IS the ELITE high school rivalry in Texas...its the best!  That, I will defend to the bitter end. Prayers for all the fans, players, bands, cheerleaders, drill teams, and everyone else involved that makes MidCounty Madness the success that it is.  See you at the game!

Prayers from "The Reservation!"

Even though LU stadium would accomodate more people, I don't think it would have the same "magic" as being played at PNG or Nederland.  MCM should stay in MidCounty. Part of the thrill and excitement is the anticipation of the game and the "scrambling" for tickets.  Best of luck to BOTH teams this year.  Can't wait!
