They did great and stepped up big time, all but one Senior starter got sent to the locker room early. The young guys came in and got the job done against a LCM team that was playing hard, physical basketball. Free throws actually pulled them through this time after they had been struggling at the line all year long.

No doubt the team we watched in the last matchup was definitely hard to handle, that must have been the full WOS squad. They had the size, athleticism and depth to give either of those teams a run for their money. Shoot they didn’t even start #23 but he came in off the bench and did his thing, I look for them to make some noise to finish out the season. It’s a shame Covid happened because they will definitely have a tough matchup in the first round of the playoffs with either HH or HJ but I think they will compete.

Yes he was just a Sophomore last season, he might be one to watch.

This Lumberton team can rebound and they can shoot, if you get McClure off then you have a team that is hard to beat. I was surprised at how well Vidor held him down the other night, he probably had his worst showing of the season. They still killed the Pirates on the boards and shot it unbelievably well from the free throw line. I remember thinking that they did not miss a free throw, then I watched the HUDL highlights and it said they shot 100% from the line. That’s pretty impressive to shoot like that as a team, I’d like to know how many they actually made but it had to be 15 or 20 all swished.

Thanks man, I’ve been pretty involved on here the last 3 years with my son on varsity football and basketball but he’s a Senior so hopefully someone else takes the reigns as the SETXsports updater for the Vidor next season. The Pirates aren’t very good at times but they certainly keep things interesting. Going to miss it but life moves on, to college on academics for this one we hope. 🤞

WOS is turning it up a notch late in the year, they had a few decent players the second time i saw them that did not play in our first matchup. Now they have big bodies and some good depth, I wouldn’t be surprised if they give Silsbee all they can handle.

Oh wow I thought Lumberton looked a little suspect when they played Vidor a few games ago but they must have really stepped it up for this one.
