Run gain of 1 to the 10 Run right to the 5 Oline creating some push

Run right looked to have it stopped but the end popped out and took it to the 11 1st and 10

We keep left to the Vidor 18 3rd and 1

Short run ball at the 24 2nd and 6

First play BC whips it straight out to the right side and the receiver nearly took at all the way.

All settled in at Bay City, about 15 minutes to game time. Beautiful night in a beautiful brand new stadium, 2nd game played at this new facility.

It's game day folks! I am prepping myself for a long drive to Matagorda County to the county seat in Bay City and hopefully a joyful return to Vidor. Celebrating with a stop at Buc-ee's after a Pirate 35-17 win.

48-28 Vidor over Bay City is what I think I heard, might be a little off but the Pirates won convincingly.

I was just thinking to myself earlier this season at the Vidor scrimmage in West Orange while I looked down at the impressive new field at Dan Hooks Stadium. Looking at the 112% emblazoned on the turf and wondering why the number 112 specifically, why not 110% seeing Reggie Garretts number 12 now I know. I remember this happening 10 years ago and it all being really sad but I didn't know his jersey number. Never put 2 and 2 together or 100 and 12 together in this case, I just realized 112% was born from his death.

Oh ok, makes sense now. In the local Vidor newspaper it said Jason Whitmire... I was like. Who's that kid?

If you look closely at the final play you will see him in on the goal line offense and some plays during the game he would be next to the left tackle in an unbalanced overloaded offensive line. Vidor will lose a whole lot next year but they will have him working both sides of the ball. How you like that blocked punt? 😉

It was a really lopsided score but I didn't know Jasper beat them so bad they had to count it twice...

Hell in that case Vidor beat Silsbee too, the 2-0 Pirates lol.

Idk might want to stay where you're at lol that classification is not any fun around here with Silsbee, WOS and Jasper bringing good teams year in and year out.

I think it's a good thing y'all didn't play WOS or Carthage this year and that Jasper game is going to be rough. This game against Woodville would have been a good matchup but being the first game for LCM who knows what you're going to get. So I give them the advantage but maybe the bears keep it close for a while, something like 28-14.

Ok I like to boast but you gotta let us enjoy it, we haven't been this good since the '70s and we were really bad unit the recent success around 2010 and on.
