Senior night at Pirate stadium, if Vidor losses another close game here it would be a brutal but fitting way to end this season.

What’s the deal guys, are my Pirates finally going to get a district win here?

Coach doesn’t mess around, his offseason workout program is very difficult. He demands a lot out of the boys and expects you to be in attendance every time. He had a lot of boys quit this year at all grade levels before the pads were even put on. Some were very good athletes, he doesn’t care though. Next man up mentality, that’s why I like him. Well that and the whole shorts when it’s 30 degrees outside thing.

Next season and the year after should be two of our better groups in my opinion. If he can keep them together, quite a few have already fell by the wayside.

I was being facetious, look some years you just don’t have the players to match up. Is that beyond the realm of possibility, that we didn’t do good this year because we’re just not good enough. The boys have played hard and gave it their all but there are some damn good teams in our district this season. Almost all of them led by good experienced quarterbacks, next year with players moving on it could totally flip. Yea if we could change a few play calls and schemes we might have won a couple more games but what does that get you. Nothing, still sitting at home for the playoffs complaining about our coaching.

Lee’s doesn’t have the numbers or the depth but man oh man they have some guys that can really go on offense. QB is outstanding, 2 good fast RBs and 3 or 4 nice receivers. We were completely outmanned at the skill positions, hence the 62 points and countless big plays.

Quinten Root he was the JV quarterback until tonight, he played great. Not a whole lot of long runs from him but he threw a bunch of great passes when we needed them.
