Maybe Vidor should shoot for 2nd place in order to play Palestine… CH is usually pretty good, didn’t they take down our district champ in the first round last season?

We’ve overachieved in my eyes but I thought we would struggle after losing so many to graduation. What I didn’t realize is we had a Junior QB just waiting for his opportunity to step in and lead the Pirates. We really have experience all over the field aside from maybe Linebacker and the secondary.

There we have it MBG has spoken, Stampede Defense it is. Has a nice ring to it but we have to give our old buddy powerlifter all of the credit. You could trademark that, WOS Stampede Defense. We stole Chain Gang by the way, since you guys let it go. The Vidor Pirates have the Chain Gang Offense.

I have to admit, when I read the title to the topic I thought for sure it was another powerlifter thread.

👍 I like it powerlifter, stamped is original but I kinda like stampede better cause it makes more sense being they are the mustangs and not postal workers. ✌️

That’s what I like about Vidors offense this year, you can’t key in to try and stop one player because it’s always someone different having a big game. They all get involved and share the load. Last year it was a little bit too QB centric and when they stopped him we were in trouble.

If he had a little more top end speed in the open field he’d be really dangerous but I love the kids elusiveness and toughness.

He pancaked little 7 at the 1 yard line, chased him down jumped on his back and flattened him. You could hear it in the stands but our little guy got back up and kept playing. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a little banged up from that play though.

I believe so, he’s the kind of speed back we’ve been missing in this offense.

I like 21 a lot in this offense but we need 7 he’s our little spark plug.

You see that #21 breaking some long runs, I hadn’t seen them use him much before that game. He’s probably our fastest back, that big #44 for Livingston has wheels he tracked down and saved 3 would be long touchdown runs.

It wasn’t in my plans to make these long road trips this season cause I don’t have a kid playing but then undefeated happened.

I was not planning on going to this game but it’s undefeated man cmon, you don’t tempt fate.
