Just got settled in and I can already tell what’s going to happen here. Idk what they are doing over in West Orange but we just use the two fields at the Vidor flag and tackle league. They are crudely painted and a lot Pirate history went through there, trust me even my old butt played there. I’ll tell you one thing though, you can’t beat the food. Sometimes I stop by on Saturdays and people ask me who I’m there to watch cause I don’t have a kid playing. I just say no, I’m here for the concession stand food.

JV Super Bowl Vidor JV vs WOS JV at Jerry World or maybe we can play at the magical football field he was talking about.

I can’t remember if the JV went undefeated last year but I think they won district. If they went undefeated with the little QB under center that we have now on Varsity then he is on one hell of a win streak.

Yes. I think they will win district this season but I called an undefeated DC for Vidor last year, turns out I might have been a year early on that prediction.

Half the fans will be gone by 8:30 like a usual homecoming crowd.

They must have a bunch of potential students enrolled at Nederland schools instead of PAISD.

Only if the Pirates fumble 7 times… but yea, the way things have gone there is always a chance that happens.

Could be a chance Vidor moves the opposite way and goes back up along with Lumberton since we were both very close to the cutoff last time. I think we got a lot of Louisiana refugees moving in from the Hurricanes over there but we’ll see, I’m sure the cutoff number will increase again. I hope they keep us right here for a little while, we’re just getting settled in and comfortable.

That was a very special team to me, watching that video brings back so many memories of the 2012 Vidor Pirates. You see #28 Matt Thomas playing linebacker, he died shortly after that game. They dedicated the season to him and made a nice playoff run. They would stop to kneel and pray at the 28 yard line every time they came out of the tunnel after being led out by Matt’s father holding the Pirate flag. They scored 28 points to win the first game following his death to honor him. His little brother Celly was moved up to varsity and wore his jersey the rest of the season. [Hidden Content] MQ, Bolinger, Godeaux, Stevenson and Novak in the backfield with Brentyn Clark leading the way and John Boy Smith at TE. Stout defense led by MQ, Bryce Cooper, Quinten Whitmire and Alex Boutte. Even yours truly making an appearance in the video when the camera pans the home crowd stands. 🏴‍☠️

Love it! That’s where I got my profile pic from. It’s a shame old Chevy couldn’t cut it at UT but he and Montana went blow for blow in that game. Chevoski got ran off by the iron fist of Charlie Strong, along with half of the Longhorn program and Montana went on a mission.

Well yea but I heard she is a beast in the trenches and when she is pulling you better keep your head on a swivel.

North Forney and Irving are not exactly in the same neighborhood but they are both near Dallas so it just goes to show that big time athletes are targeting this area. Are they specifically coming to WOS, idk anybody else getting players from DFW? Possibly but they are probably the only school around here with enough clout to bring in some prospects. I’m sure they have a cousin, aunt or unc who lives around here, might even need to take care of Grandmama.

I know a few that could have done a lot better at LCM if they were worried about their personal success over the team mentality and I know some did make that move. I even know of one player that actually came to Vidor from another school and he was really good for us back in the day.
