They usually do it when the defense is on their heels and wore out. It can be mid game not necessarily in hurry up situations. So I guess it’s more of a pound the defense kind of thing instead of a clock management tool.

When Vidor gets to running their hurry up run plays where they sprint to the line and quick snap it, that sure makes it hard to keep up. Sometimes I get a play or two behind but always seem to find a spot to catch up. All I know is one thing, Armadillo Lives Matter! And Vidor is going to win Friday night… so that’s 2 things. I know TWO THINGS! ✌️

Just watched the highlights, BH slinging that ball all over Crosby. Better clean up that secondary if you want to lose in the state championship game again. BH should have just thrown it deep to 81 every play, there is simply no stopping him.

How does BH take a loaded Crosby squad to OT? The Mecca of high school football taken to overtime by a bunch of slow unathletic types… defending state champ losers going to extended play with the ant hill. I just can’t understand, it boggles the mind.

Hey check it out, they got Dayton fans on here again. I remember when they used to be a powerhouse in all sports. Good showing or is PNG in one of those down year reloading seasons?

I remember him every time we jumped offsides last year (which was a lot 99 was out that game and the backup played bad) they would just throw a jump ball over the top of our little corners. That’s about all they had though, him and the coaches son at running back who carried the ball 57 times (idk if that’s an accurate stat but seems about right). Still enough to beat a banged up Pirate squad, this year they aren’t banged up. Revenge game, no excuses.

Jasper just doesn’t look that good this year, all across the field on both sides of the ball. Aside from the D line, I just don’t see the level of talent they usually have. I would be more upset at the coaches for last season, taking a team that actually had a squad and doing nothing with it. I was surprised they were an easy out in the first round of the playoffs, this year I’d be surprised if they made the playoffs. Now the constant penalties and mistakes would worry me, did you have a lot of that last year also?

Yea that was the game lol BH cried but I think it was the band members losing their shoes in the mud and they were never recovered. Gone forever to shoe heaven I assume and we can’t have that happening to our band. Got us a new turf field in a hurry, kinda how we can’t play mid day home games on Saturdays anymore after the band was dropping like flies when Nederland came to town. Poor kids were fully suited and dropping left and right but somehow the Ned band were better hydrated because they endured.

Yea I believe that vote has come up before over there. Come to think of it, it was a horrible game in the mud early in the season one year that destroyed the field in Vidor. It never recovered the whole season and that got the ball rolling towards our turf field so maybe the grass never grows back and people vote for it lol.

Dadgum goofy Mauriceville people tearing the field up right before district play starts… You got 2 weeks to get that mess lined out before the Pirates come to town to deliver your yearly beating. On second thought, maybe we’ll take another mudbowl win in the slop. Wouldn’t be the first time, won’t be the last. Will LCM ever get a turf field or just build a whole new stadium?

Well if I said I can squat 650 would you believe it and would it matter if I could? If you have seen me post you would understand my statement. I can’t resist a chance to troll somebody but I get what he is saying. Although I do believe there are several programs with guys who can squat a ton, Vidor has a guy in the middle of the defense who can squat a trailer house. Maybe even a double wide… it doesn’t necessarily translate to football success but it does speak good to your weightlifting and conditioning program.

I don’t give a squat what they can squat… all that matters is that they sh.. or get off the pot.

Impressive for sure, very surprised by the Bobcats of late. They have made improvements all across their athletic programs. I forgot you guys were playing 3a ball for a long time. Used to think of OF as a free square, similar to the way we think of BC but if we were to play them now it would be an interesting ballgame. You’re right about WOS though, class of the county.

No worries brother, just was wondering what was happening this week. Someone just updated me with the situation, I understand.

I don’t really like that call, excessive celebration when you finally score the only points of a hard fought game. But maybe a player took it too far and did something egregious. Definitely worked in the Pirates favor though the way they enforced it plus we got 5 more yards tacked on to the end for an offsides on the kickoff. Vidor still doesn’t score though if Jasper doesn’t commit a foul on the incomplete pass at the end. It would have been 4th and 14 without the penalty, they should have left the QB alone that pass play had no chance.
