I look for the Pirates to keep it rolling, BC won’t be able to stop them. 40-27 Vidor
-
I have heard that it is sometimes harder to find teams that want to play non-district games due to our style of play. With the ground & pound offense and constant cut blocking, some teams prefer to look elsewhere. I haven’t heard anything about the bad rep being the reason, although that may play into it for some schools. I am not completely in the know but I do have good sources that are heavily involved in the program.

HH - QB will carry them Vidor - will figure out LL LL - QB will carry them LCM - WOS players will carry them Who cares after that.

Week 3 Vidor 39 Brazosport 29/FINAL
Boneyard Boys replied to Aggieswife's topic in High School Football
One of these games it’s not going to work, we’ll run (literally) into a team that can fill the gaps all night long but we haven’t reached that point yet. 😜 The Jasper game should be a good one, that’s the game that turned our season in a bad way last year. We had several key players out injured or playing banged up after that one. Even after a bye week somehow we were riddled with injuries, then district play came and Splendora happened... -
Week 3 Vidor 39 Brazosport 29/FINAL
Boneyard Boys replied to Aggieswife's topic in High School Football
I’m guessing the game went something like this. Vidor: run run run run run run run run run run run run TD, run run run run run run run run run run run run run run TD. BP: quick score Vidor: run run run run run run run run run all night long. BP: quick score Vidor: run run run wears your defense out in the end. -
Close one again, Lions are lucky against the Bobcats. I wish Vidor would play OF they are starting to get pretty good in the field but instead we play schools on the other side of Houston. I think BC, OF, WOS, LCM and Vidor should be playing each other every year to see who is the OC champ.

You’re selling yourself short pal... correct on all points. I feel like our offense is clicking much better this season but the D isn’t up to par just yet. Although they made some positional changes and tweaked the depth chart a little last week and it seemed to help the secondary. I think Bport will be able to score though, we held HE without any big play TDs but I don’t think we can do the same vs BPs quarterback. I expect another shootout and if our offense keeps moving the ball the way we have I expect the BP defense to get worn out at the end of the game. Give me the Pirates something like 35-31 but I won’t be making the road trip to this game. Hopefully someone keeps us updated with the score at least, I’ll be checking the board. Go Pirates, bring it back home 3-0!

What are they feeding the boys in Edna TX?
Boneyard Boys replied to Boneyard Boys's topic in High School Football
Yes, that too. We have a small, unathletic team here in Vidor. I only say that because it’s true and I’m fine with it. What this years team lacks in size they make up for in grit and no quit. I shouldn’t say unathletic though cause we got that physical speed. -
Look at the size of their linemen, QB, RB and WRs. Thats some big old boys for a 3A school... [Hidden Content]-(edna,tx)/football/videos.htm?videoid=43030287-de60-40f4-89dd-dca44db77ddd

Bellaire Episcopal 7 Vidor 24/FINAL
Boneyard Boys replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
Both teams meeting at midfield for a big group prayer, good sportsmanship all around. I will say this referee crew tonight was spot on, I disagree with a few of their calls but they controlled the game well. Quickly spotted the ball and down markers correctly, marked off penalties with out any issues. You grow to appreciate the little things when you see the bad crews look lost out there. -
