1.
Humble doesnt have 5A enrollment numbers, SC does. Case closed, try again.  ::)
Humble and SC will have very close number.  SC picked up some of Humbles kids over the past couple years.  This will level off.  Look at Humble's numbers in 2010 (District 18 at that point); [Hidden Content]
 2. All the haters from District 19 and 20 are predicting that SC will land in District 13-5A.  Look at the enrollments!  Most schools school on the list have 1500+ more kids! Humble Atascocita 3210 Humble Kingwood 2580 Klein 3152 Klein Collins 3266 Klein Forest 3528 Klein Oak 3736 Spring 3493 Spring Dekaney 2720 Spring Westfield 3196
 3. Both schools will have enrollments running neck and neck.  Why should SC go and not Humble.  Atascocita HS has 3,210 in 5A.  Many 5A schools will have 1,000 to 1,500 more kids than SC and Humble.  Expect Humble's numbers to increase as kids make their way back to Humble now that Humble has resolved it's rating issue.

At least they have two job titles. lol. Coaches work their butts off, they deserve every penny.
And "Teachers" don't? First, I don't believe the head football coach should have the AD title. They have that so they can pay them more. I think the AD should be a separate job (as in the bigger districts) I think a football coach as the AD is a conflict of interest. Now...my coaching friends aren't going to like me much for this approach, and even less when I say...maybe they shouldn't be paid at all. Many "select" coaches put as much time or MORE into the sport they love without any compensation...pay, expenses, etc. because they love kids, and love teaching the sport. After all, school (learning) should be the first priority, and the notion of "well without sports, some kids wouldn't stay in school" or "sports is the only thing that gives some kids the opportunity to move on" just don't cut it. My kid is on athletic scholarship....but SHE also is an honor grad....she didn't DEPEND on her athletic abilities to advance to the next level....it's just a past time.... and NO, players should NOT, under any circumstance be paid
So instead of paying 1 guy lets say $65k a year to do a HC Football and AD job... you would rather smaller schools pay a HC $50k and then pay an AD $55k a year to be AD? so if one guy does it its a total of $65k and if two guys $105K.... which one would you rather have to pay for as an ISD... do you think the taxpayers of that district would rather 1 guy and extra money for different things throughout the district... or take away from other programs to pay 2?
Classroom teachers don't make $55K and $65K at these smaller schools....besides, where do you get these numbers...there isn't a AD/HC making as little as $65K in the state. "Now...my coaching friends aren't going to like me much for this approach, and even less when I say...maybe they shouldn't be paid at all. " ^^^^ or this! There isn't a bigger sports fan in the world than me.....there isn't a person in the world who like winning more than me....but the cost of HS sports is crazy! And this is just an argumentative subject....HS sports, ESPECIALLY FOOTBALL isn't going anywhere...neither is the cost...in fact...I agree with an earlier poster...it's only gonna get more expensive as the years pass.
What other high school sport brings so many paying fans to a game?  Even high school football is big business (relatively) for many ISD's.  The sport may get more expensive as was pointed out, but I must believe the revenue justifies the expense.  No one is losing money.
So by your logic SC would have beaten a team that stomped GTown? Hmm... Guyer would have scored 60+ on SC
You misunderstood his post, ram0524. If SC had beaten GTown, SC would have been celebrating with Gatorade baths and a huge parade because they would have had won two playoff games in a row. They've never done that before, you know. Of course, SC would have lost to Angleton the next weekend.
You've clearly lost your mind.  Angleton had ONE player.  I watched their playoff game at turner. They let a much inferior opponent score on them consistantly.  SC would have rolled those guys out of town.
On what planet is Vidor and PNG a Beaumont school?    Are you new to Texas?
Vidor is only 12 mi from Beaumont.  That's like saying Humble isn't near Houston.
I would of thought yall would of been preparing for the next weeks game instead of holding a Parade for beating G'Town.... :-D
Angleton and Nederland would have fallen quickly after our Offense was unleashed.  Nederland may have scored 50 points ALL YEAR!

I honestly see a lot of solid d2 or d1-aa kids in the 2014 class.  around 8 or so other then Allen and Sharp (obviously d1 kids).  Torrey Johnson looks like he could potentially pick a lower level D1 offer.  other than that, its way to early to tell
IF Johnson had more height, sky's the limit

Sharp looks faster, but likes being a pocket passer. Had he used his feet more in the GTown game, could have changed the outcome.
Sharp was fine. you needed a defense to beat or compete with G-Town.
Agree.  No pressure on their QB.  Still believe Sharp could have put d team on his shoulder by running when the pass wasn't there. Think about what Young did w/ his feet to carry the team to a National title. W/o his legs, no crystal football lifted.
