That aside, no one in the district or bi-district can say how they BEAT SC. Not looking like any of them will be able to make that claim this year either.
How about the beat down you got in BI-District by Magnolia West to the tune of 41-19? You ran the table in district one year? Big deal, put some 5a teams on your schedule instead of South Houston HS. SC has some good athletes and is a good football team, but they are far from being the juggernaut team that you think they are. BTW, SC will be moved up next realignment, unless Humble ISD has a plan to spread those kids out back to Humble HS or to Atascocita HS.
Man, you're talking ancient history. The biggest issue in the MGW game was our defense. They had an exciting RB that had his way. That particular team struggled with any team that had a talented RB. Hunstville ....Willis (especially Willis ...that was really ugly).
You said nobody has beat SC in Bi-District. I was pointing out that year before last Magnolia West beat ya'll first playoff game. So in the last two years, Ya'll are tied with BH for playoff victories at 1. The majority of teams within our viewing area have more then 1 playoff victory in the last two seasons. So why do you think SC is so dominant in this area again? ;)
Cuz no team in District 19 can say they BEAT SC ...including Barbers Hill. All you can say is that you lost by the least amount. Sad. District 19 begins and ends in HUMBLE ISD. Fortunately for BH you play SC at home. You don't want to face 20,000 faithful at Turner Stadium ...aka Title Town.
okay now i am convinced, you are a troll. lol
LMAO! Sometimes (okay, a lot of the time) I'll throw a bone for the rival fans to pounce on. -
Summer Creek Domination? Nederland Domination?

Interesting perspective ...the list of recruits from NS over the recent years can't be denied. This plays to your point re: coaching. But then look at Katy (Katy HS, not the entire district). They have stellar coaching but seem short on D1 prospects. I guess the answer is coaching AND talent ...but sure seems like talent wins over coaching in terms of recruiting. -
getting back to MNW beating SC.. Dayton beat MNW the very next game. SC no doubt is good now... They will dominate probably again this season. Not gonna glaze that over.. Got to give them credit for moving forward. BUT once they lose those skill players to graduation and they move up to 5A next realignment. And they don't really focus on the freshman, mainly the JV and Varsity (someone from SC's words not mine) I don't think they will look so pretty. ;D
Will agree. From what I observed, all attention is on Varsity. JV is used to run the upcoming opponents playbook in practice. Really don't see much coaching going on with the JV guys ....and it shows in their games. This also creates a culture of division in the locker room IMO. On side I can see the high motivation younger kids might have by seeing how much is given to Varsity, but on the flipside, a kid with any self-doubt or ego issues might be frustrated. Those kids might be able to be coached through this if there was more attention given. Next year will be very, very interesting. Could be the perfect storm for disaster as most of the remaining star players will move on to college AND SC could be bumped to 5A. I'll be keeping a close eye on the talent at the JV and Freshman levels this year. -

Dakota Allen probably could too if he switched positions due to the fact Whitley is already commited to Alabama.
Gotta throw the flag on you right there Cougar14. Northshore is still riding their state championship. SC had several kids that could have either started or rotated. You're not going to keep guys like State Track champion Greg Hogan on the sideline. Torrey Johnson is a flat out play maker with exceptional hands. You'd have to give him time. So add Dakota & Aaron to the list ...we're at a handful. There's a few more guys that I believe would see time as well ...just think they'd benefit from more individual time & coaching.
Riding a state championship? They won almost 80 district games in a row at one point. Is Greg Hogan playing over Alabama signee Deandrew White who was 4.3 all day in high school? Larry McDuffie was the other receiver and went to Houston. Hogan probably does rotate in but Dakota wouldn't start over Whitley who plays the same position he does at NS. Handful? Come on man, you have one for sure in Sharp and Peterson probably wouldn't start either unless he played center because both guards and tackles NS has now will play D1. Torrey Johnson is decent but he's probably the third receiver on NS's roster. As talented as you may believe SC is NS would put 50 on you on an off day and you would score less than you did on Georgetown. It has yet to be proven that the SC kids aren't just system kids like Lake Travis or Katy.
Gah-dammit Cougar14 you made me spit out my coffee! NS and other 5A schools have the ability to whoop up on SC because of the lack of beef on the lines. We'll get killed in the trenches. That aside, we see NS in the off season. Those guys have a few stand outs and the rest are all mouth. If they had more players, they'd run Katy off the field ...AS THEY SHOULD. We have 4.3 and 4.4 guys at every skill position ...starting with our 200m champion QB. Our lineman run 4.6's.
Wipe off your screen so you can read this then. Georgetown won 3 games in two years in 5a and beat y'all soundly last year. Take the number of good athletes you have and double it. Could you beat that team? Georgetown couldn't make the playoffs in 5a and beat y'all, I don't know the last time NS didn't make the playoffs and most of the time they're three rounds deep in D1.
Finally we agree on something. Look no further than the O & D lines. Gtown loses that game if SC had a comparable line. Our skill players didn't lose that game ...they kept us in it.
If y'all had a comparable line? Why wouldn't you, y'all have more kids. SC plays the game from the outside in which is why y'alls linemen are soft. We haven't had a good pass heavy team in the district I can rember but the second time around will be a lot harder. And for all the talent you speak of at SC why has Crosby had more D1 recruits the past couple of years? Our kids can play in any system, the jury is still out on y'alls.
I agree. Not sure why we can't find lineman in the 1,400 kids in our school. The knock on Humble and Northshore is we consistantly have stand out RB's and Receivers ...but suffer on the line. On that list you sent (need to look again) ...how many of those kids were O lineman? Crosby and Dayton were the baddest boys on the block until last year. Some perspective came out of Humble ISD.
OK you're in there with Bedelmon now. North Shore is O-Line high. There's not a school in the start who're produced the linemen NS has over the last 5 years or so.
95% of the OL prospects came from Galena Park ...I was referrring to NS HS ...not the entire district.
What? Evey kid on the list played at North Shore High School. Galena Park is part of Houston where North Shore is.
There's TWO schools. Galena Park HS and Northshore HS. They share the same stadium. The Mustangs and the Yellow Jackets. When I was speaking of NS, I was referring to the specific school. You were referring to the entire district. -
Finally we agree on something.

Those 21 points. As I recal Crosy had 3 TD's in the 1st half. As for SC's point, yes, they were scored over 4 quarters -

Only fair.
No one from Katy wants to play at Summer Creek....trust me.
LOL... even I'm not that much of a homer. Katy record speaks for itself. My only jab is they sure do pop up with kids at the RB. Like their most recent transfer from Humble. -

Here's the thing ...all the schools you mentioned have one thing in common. They got 50+ hung on them by SC. They sure didn't do a good job of holding SC either. Just sayin.
There's only one of those teams y'all hung 50 on and wasn't the ones in our district.
Really ...okay I'll spot you the few points we were shy of 50. SC 49 - Crosby 21 (all scored in the 1st half) SC 45 - Dayton 7 SC 51 - Vidor 27
