"A Good Game" does not include using racial insults.  That's a BAD GAME and your response suggests you think this is acceptable on the field.  It is not.

I can certainly how Vidor can be a difficult opponent for most teams.  You just had NO ANSWER for SC's QB and RECEIVERS.  You should have dropped 6 back in coverage ....sumthin.  You gave it everything you had.  Even took it to SC with the on-side kicks which resulted in two more possession for Vidor. Having said that, y'all got your A** whooped by the GREATEST SHOW ON TURF!

FIRST, I must say Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the Vidor players and fans.  You have just witnessed the GREATEST SHOW ON TURF!  WE are the can't stop, won't stop ...yes, the UNSTOPPABLE SC Bulldogs. I did my share of trash talking on a pre-game thread, but I must give it up to the Vidor Pirates for their play.  They are every bit as tough and scrappy as their fans said. 1) TURNOVERS killed Vidor. SC made you pay for each one.  Take away the turnovers and the SC receiver drops and this game would have been close.  Probably 58-45 SC wins. 2) I told you Vidor fans before the game that you have a ONE DIMENSIONAL offense.  If this team could effectively pass, you'd be really, really dangerous.  A passing game would force teams to respect the pass and leave the DB's back instead of playing so close to the line of scrimmage. 3) On what planet does the Vidor coach think he could play SC's receivers in man coverage?  I mean really?  We had the discussion before the game.  There was even a news article on it ("Vidor Defensive Backs must have a Big Game").  Vidor got TORCHED all game long.  There was NO STOPPING the SC passing game other than our own dropped balls.  Vidor is a well coached team, but your coach really hurt your chances by dangling your slow undersized corners out there on an island. 4) I have two sons that played in the game and they said the Vidor players used the [b]N WORD[/b] all night long.  The refs even laughed about it.  >:(  THIS IS CLEARLY WRONG AND UNACCEPTABLE!  So is Vidor really what Vidor is about?  Is Vidor teaching their kids to use racial insults?  THIS MUST STOP.  I DO NOT RESPECT THE VIDOR FOOTBALL PROGRAM BECAUSE OF THIS HORRIBLE DISPLAY. 5) Last but not least, [b]Y'ALL GOT YOUR A** WHOOPED![/b]  You can thank SC for putting the highest scoring total on Vidor this season.  This is the best team you've seen and it showed. WE ARE THE GREATEST SHOW ON TURF!

This game is full of match up problems for Vidor.  SC must execute to exploit their advantages.  SC can be sloppy (BH saw this first hand).

I just read that Vidor plays man coverage. [Hidden Content] Really?  They must really have a lot of confidence in these kids. This misdirection offense better be incredible. If U play SC w/ man coverage, ur bound to get torched. Once U pull back to support the pass, SC will run it down ur throat. This team is loaded w/ playmakers. I still have a hard time believing Vidor offense is much different from BH. Vidor's first drive will be telling. If they punt, it will spell trouble n give SC's defense even more confidence

Teams like Crosby, BH, and Dayton are used to scoring lots of TD's, but none of them could manage to score much against SC.  Crosby did the best.  BH runs a similar offense as Vidor.  SC is in full playoff mode.  They had very light practices for much of the season, but they ramped up the week before the Dayton game and they're playing at an even higher level. I agree with "inthedawghouse", this this program is young and very hungry.  They take all opponents seriously and won't underestimate anyone.  That loss last year to Magnolia West is still pushing them.

I like UgotTrucked comment because it sounds like he actually played in the game vs. SC. I'm not taking any shots at the fans or players of Vidor related to their town, race or wealth.  I'm strictly talking football ...and yeah, I've been trash talking.  Its fun.  I do hope to see a great game. Back to football, I stand by my earlier comment: Vidor is a one dimensional offense.  What I'm curious to see on Friday is 1) if SC is as good as I think they are, 2) will Vidor experience a team on an entirely different level than they have seen (Dayton, BH, & Crosby would say "YES"), and 3) was 19A a weak conference in comparison to 20A. Any Vidor fans been to an SC game?  Any SC fans been to a Vidor game?  I wish Crosby, BH or Dayton played Vidor so we could get their assessment.

Vidor has a ONE DIMENSIONAL OFFENSE.  In old school high school football, most teams were one dimensional running offenses.  Passes were rare.  Lets move to modern day high school football.  If all you do is run, then you basically are going to see smart defenses daring you to throw.  If Vidor physically out matches their opponenet, the running can be a winning formula. All that razzle dazzle in the backfield takes time to develop.  A fast disciplined defense will eat that up.  SC did it to BH & Dayton all night.  SC is full of fast & strong athletes.  No one on Vidor is gonna break away from SC's players.  Their secondary has a guy running a 4.3 - 4.4 forty.  All of the starting SC DB's are at the top of our district in picks ...I'm talking 1, 2, & 3 in stats.

Watsx2 ...I hope the pirates game is as good as your spelling. I'll be sure to add you and the Vidor faithful to the list of SC Haters after Friday.  We truly want to thank all our haters and want you to enjoy the GREATEST SHOW ON TURF.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the SC haters out there.  We are the greatest show on turf and are coming to a town near you. IT'S DEM DAWGS!!!

The film on Vidor shows they only have one "fast" player on Offense.  Meanwhile SC has track stars at every skill position. 

They go on sale this Thursday at the school.  I'm guessing they'll have them for sale before & at the game too.  They're $10. Get yours EARLY.

Doesn't look like SC will be seeing Dayton...lol.  Would love to see them beat Nederland ...but Dawson  ??? I'll definitely be at Dayton vs Nederland regardless.  I love TX High School Football.  It's amazing.

Excellent point Cougar.  Like I said earlier, it's just amazing to see these "good teams" show up with so much hope just to get torched by the SC's offense.  I'm talking about teams like BH & Dayton that are used to winning by 40+ ...getting embarssed.

I'm going to the Dayton vs Nederland game.  If Dayton plays Nederland close or beats them ...then you gotta consider that Nederland BEAT Vidor.  It really makes any hopes of a good game between Nederland & Summer Creek seem unlikely.  We already know what SC will do to Dayton if we see them again.  I'm really going to the game to see how strong Nederland is at this point in the season.

This thread is HILARIOUS!!!  I LOVE IT.  From what I've seen BH fans are some cry babies.  I love the "we didn't lose as bad as your team did" defense. 

All chat aside, it will be fun to see just how good/bad each team is on Friday.  Please be advised, if SC rolls Vidor like they rolled Dayton (and the rest of the district), I'll be back here to remind all the nay-sayers of their words. Friday will be fun regardless.  I LOVE TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL!  I'm from the Northeast and Texas football is INCREDIBLE.
