(went ahead and put the BIG IF in there for DD's because he will probably say... "and that's a BIG IF..." :-D now he can say it and mean it LMAO! :-D )
Repeat from an earlier post . . . 19-4A enrollment numbers as of October 2012, according to the Texas Education Association: Summer Creek 2186 Crosby 1482 Dayton 1391 Houston King 1794 Humble 1483 Humble Kingwood Park 1681 Mt Belvieu Barbers Hill 1297 New Caney 1421 New Caney Porter 1493 SC is up by over 160 students in the one year since the October 2011 snapshot, and is about 50% larger than the average of the other 19-4A schools. At almost 2200, SC is in the same range as La Porte, PAM, Manvel. One of the big differences between SC and those three is that La Porte, PAM and Manvel have all won three or more playoff games in a single season within the past two years, while SC has only won ONE playoff game in those two years. Past two year playoff records: La Porte 5-2 Manvel 7-2 PAM 4-2 SC 1-2
First MBG ...the only "boom" was Manvel dropping the BOOM on PAM last year. Second, you keep dismissing the impact of Humble's rating issues and kids that transferred to SC.  Lets look at how Humble's numbers look over the same period.  Their numbers are down ...and I'm quite curious to see how things level off this year. Third, SC had the "hot new school" effect in the area as well.  I know of kids that came from GREENSPOINT and surrounding areas to escape Aldine and Sheldon ISD's.  I don't know the numbers at the middle schools ...SC just graduated a large class as well.  This: [Hidden Content]; has SC at about 2020 and Humble at 1550.  Without transfers both school would be around 1800.  SC wouldn't be more than the 1900's for sure.  I know HUM398 would disagree ...but let just see how it plays out this year.  SC's enrollment could swell further as kids find ways to attend the only winner in Humble ISD ...and the middle school incoming class could be large as well. It's going to take a realignment and new homes to bring in more kids to Humble ISD.  On SC's side of the area, most of the existing communities have been nearly built-out.  PAM fans like MBG shouldn't wishing to see SC in their division ...they should be worrying about Northshore and Manvel.
How much larger is SC's enrollment than any other school in their district (~1000?) I assume the program size reflects?
Yeah right ....might be talking a a few hundred kids.  Every time you guys talk about SC's enrollment it gets bigger.  Or it's about projections.  The reality is, some of the Humble HS kids we picked up will return to Humble. SC will have larger numbers in the future IF all this new building results in sold homes with lots of kids.
If this is true, Barbers Hill shouldn't compete either.  Talent is important, but its not everything at the high school level.  Discipline, preparation, and execution can win you a lot of games.  Look at Katy.  They run their machine and win ...but not many D1's compared to other schools like North Shore, Manvel
BH has a heck of a lot more talent than New Caney. They have a four year starter at qb who's a UT commit in baseball, the best rb in the district behind Walter and Jeffery, and last year they had the best lb in the district with Garrett Dolan in my opinion. Katy doesn't have a bunch of D1 talent but what they do have are huge offensive linemen and big backs that rush for 2000 yards most years like Dean, Young and Taylor. People on this forum always talk about hard work like the other kids aren't working just as hard. The kids at Crosby were throwing up on themselves while they were running this week but you're not going to hear me talking about how hard they're working because I know the kids at Dayton, BH, and SC are working just as hard. Coaching and talent are the most important things at the high school level. BH much like Deer Park is going to dump all the funds they need to support their program and most times you get decent results with that method, that's why BH is better than most others on the sub-high school level. It may get you to the playoffs but most years you won't have the horses to be a threat.
Good points ...I might throw in that if kids are tossing their cookies during summer workouts, they're probably showing up out of shape.  SC's kids stay in training year round and I imagine many other schools do this as well.  I still believe that New Caney could put a better product on the field with their current players than what we've seen.  When all else fails, there's the Katy model ...RECRUIT!  One solid running back from Humble or Northshore area could help NC win some games.
Thats the thing: Katy DOESN'T recruit, their coaching staff gets the best out of their players.  ;) Execution, execution, EXECUTION!  ;)
You keep believing that AND in unicorns.
New Braunfels Unicorns have gotten past the 2nd round in the playoffs before, something SC can only dream about.  ;)
And Northshore beat MANVEL ...something PAM can only dream about.
PAM has gotten out of the 2nd round and gotten a Regional Title recently....something SC will never have but can dream about  ;)
How many years has PAM been competing ...you're jawing about a squad that has been in existence for a few years.  I mean really.  Manvel moved up and whooped PAM's 5A tail.  Not by a small margin either.  You guys just keep picking on Channelview for wins.
More reason to believe SC would have beat Ned ...we scored more on a common opponent.  We had miscues as well ...still managed to put more on the board.  Angleton has the best argument in the bunch.  They scored the most ...but yeah, defense on SC, Ned, and Angleton ALL lacked.

 20.
First of all, SC has never had a 1,000 yard rusher and I think that Chatman can get there with a certain amount of touches{10 to 15} a game. The only way SC has a chance to advance in the playoffs is to run the ball and run the ball  effectively so you can protect your defense which is not that strong. And even on offense ,I hope that Coach Ford realizes that he doesn't have the receivers he has had in the past( Hogan,Ruffin, and Bootz) and his main receivers now are very short and are not playmakers.I do not care how pass-happy your offense is ,you can not win championships without a good running game and a good defense
Good point ...but will disagree with saying there's no playmakers on SC's receiving corp.  Torrey Johnson has some incredible hands and is very dangerous in space.  There's a couple tall guys but both will need to prove themselves this year as well.  Braden in the slot is dangerous too.  There's A LOT of speed at WR as well.

If you didn't have a good SPARQ you would be a non-factor. For as great as you proclaim you're going to be, fact of the matter is you've never even scored a touchdown and might no even start as a junior. I'm not saying SC's o-line is bad but they're what I would consider a middle of the district unit, you're not a clear cut starter as either a soph. or junior which tells me you don't have elite running back skills, not even at your own school. You need a pretty high skill level to put numbers needed to garner D1 offers behind what y'all have over there. O'neal at BH is a lot bigger than you and had a decent season but got banged up in crucial games even though he was 225. Crosby put up nearly 500 yards on SC's defense and Vidor rushed for over 300 so don't take those runs in the spring game for more than what they're worth. I personally believe your best chance to play D1 is at outside LB much like Hoza Scott at La Porte. He also played some rb but that's just because he can at the high school level. Good luck though, you test well and you go to SC so if you can play at all you should get a look. Lets wait 'til you have a highlight tape before you get a thread though. 8)
Damn Cougar14, your a cold dude.  Now let me school you on TGSOT. SC had a deep rotation at RB since day 1. Chatman fit in best at TE last year. He's still a young guy and has two years of growing to do. Starting at SC is no easy task.  Getting time in your sophomore year is a big deal.  If Chatman has a big year, his profile will rise.  Let's see how he does at RB.
Y'alls rb rotation isn't deep at all. Y'all have big backs, don't mistake that for good backs. Rotating Chance Casey who had about 10 offers and Jakasay Evans is deep. SC lays on you with those big backs after they make you run wind sprints chasing those receivers. I doubt they could actually line up and enforce their will on you. We'll see what happens though. I'm not cold either, if he wants a thread he's going to get an evaluation. It's no different than I spoke about MQ or Pryor after seeing their camp stuff, I also think Hopkins is overrated just to throw it in there even though he had 1500 yards(I believe Pryor would have been a BCS guard if he was taller). I think Chatman will grow into a OLB personally. Sophs. start at NS,PAM,Katy and LP and its usually kids that test like Chatman did. I can probably spit you out 15 sophomore backs that were ballers from the region in recent history and that's just 4 and 5A. Only the elite get offers to play qb and rb at big time D1 programs. IJS, look at Donta Foreman's film and tell me if you think Chatman will do that next year because that's what is required to get a scholarship from Tulsa Junior College. 8)
I hear ya ...but no SC RB has got a ton of carries.  Probably all had less than 100/reg season.  SC just isn't a running team, so the RB position just doesn't get as much attention as WR.  SC had at least 3 very capable backs each season ...they just didn't get the development/attention/touches and we didn't exactly have a Katy-like Oline. Also, some guys may be late bloomers or just not high on the coach's favorites list.  You may have to see how they do in college before really knowing their ability.  We had a 2nd string RB last year ...actually TWO 2nd stringers that could have starter on many of the teams SC faced.  Now, I'm not calling any of these guys "elite" ....will definitely agree with you there ...IJS we don't really know how good they were/could have been because of SC's system.  On the contrary, a team like BH or Vidor may make a guy look like Jim Brown because he's getting the ball so often and they run a deceptive offense that works on the high school level.
