Kaepernick and the anthem

Here's my opinion on this. He is saying he is protesting the violence against blacks in this country. I am not a racist person. The problem with this country is the disrespect of law enforcement. I don't care what the color of skin is there are numerous idiots who disrespect the law. Our police officers risk their lives everyday dealing with idiots. Yea, we people that work in the refinery business put our lives in danger every day also but it's not the same. We can control most situations that come about because of technology now days. These officers go out to uncontrolled environments and have no clue as to what they are about to get involved in. If you are a licensed hand user and someone confronted you and put his hand in his pocket. What would you do? These cops go into life threatening situations and want to get back to their families alive. The problem is, take care of your child at home and he want get in a situation that the cops need to be called and may have to pull a gun on them.!!! -
I had the privilege of coaching Roshon when he was younger and I will say he is a great young man both on the field and off. He is something to watch when he gets in the open field. Biggest thing is he gets it done in the classroom and that will help him when the scouts really start looking at him. It will be interesting to see what he does in the future after last night but it looks bright. Wish I could see it instead of having to listen to it on live stream.

PN-G's Anthony Anniboli injured in automobile accident.

Reports are he could possibly go home tomorrow. I'm just a friend of the family but thank you for all the prayers to help him recover from this. -
Thought they were suppose to be hiring a football coach not a UFC coach. Rumble in the jungle.

Prayers going up.

Port Neches-Groves 2 Santa Fe 1/Gm2-Final/Gm 3 Postponed
Coach85 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Baseball
That would be a blast, would be just like the old days when y'all lived here. All in all that would be a great match up. But it will be a couple more weeks before this match-up could come about. I have a feeling it wouldn't be home and home either. It will be interesting where they decide to play it if it does happen. -

Would be a great series. If they agree on home and home this would get wild. Love to see it. -

Yes that is another good option. I wasn't thinking when I posted my last comment. He would be a good choice also. The only problem is we rode two pitchers all year long and a lot of these other pitchers we are talking about don't have much mound time. That is what I don't agree with. -

Lejune wouldn't be a bad choice but they still have Vidrine also..........Sounds like the Santa Fe coach is scared. Said he didn't want to travel on a school night but made us travel. Now it's a Saturday and he still wants to be close at home. They could have come have to PNG and played it but he wanted to be a wimp and wait till Monday and play it somewhere else. It's suppose to rain Monday so if they can't find a place to play it will come down to a coin flip and that is probably what he is hoping for. That is chickens___ if you ask me. -
PN-G vs Santa Fe The Indians vs the Indians

Any info on the time and place for this series? -
He went crazy over the phone with the supt. When Caveness invited him to come talk to him in person Mr. Henry agreed to it.
-
I agree buddy. This kid is not going to make through fall ball in Houston. His dad just so happens to work in a business that will allow him to transfer to the Houston area so when his son moves there, he will too.
-
Yes, he made it to the parking lot. I talked to another dad that was right there when it happened. Henry threatened him and the umpire turned to him and told him he could make it to where he would not be able to see his son play again. That's when it got broken up. I think the man needs anger management classes.
-
This is not the first time this year the dad has went after an umpire. He followed an ump out to the parking lot and threatened him after one game. The man needs to be banned from any event anywhere his son is playing. He is a loose cannon and his kid does no wrong. He has even threatened certain higher ups.
-
I was there. I am a PNG fan. But his actions were uncalled for. No matter what the environment is like, as a kid ,which he still is, should not act like that in any game no matter the intensity of it. He is a highly thought of prospect and his dad charging the field makes him look even worse. He needs to show he can handle the adversity and control hisself. My son is on the sophomore team and if he acted like that I would not be charging the field to get at the umpire as Henry's did. I would be charging it to yank my kid off the field and tear his arse up. The actions of both the son and dad are totally uncalled for and should be dealt with some sort of punishment.

PNG wins it.
-
Henry was not suppose to play in this game but got in and got ejected for cussing at a Nederland player after he struck him out. Does not make a good impression on the scouts or UH coaches.

Goose Creek Memorial 2 Port Neches-Groves 1/Final
Coach85 replied to PNG1977's topic in High School Baseball
I wasn't just talking about last night. Even during all the tournaments PNG did not hit like a team with this amount of talent should. They didn't have more then 4 hits in a game up until they played Hampshire Fannette And Memorial Friday night. Hopefully they will turn it around quickly. -

Coach85 replied to PNG1977's topic in High School Baseball
Not taking anything away from GCM pitchers but PNG can't hit a beach ball right now. Lee committed a lot of errors when we played them Tuesday but up until last Friday night against Hampshire Fannette, they had not had more then 4 hits in a game. I said on another thread that this would be what kept PNG from a district title. I'm hoping they can turn it around and start playing like they are capable of playing. -
Rumor has it two coaches are leaving. Does anybody know if this is true and if so who they are?
-
There was 29 scouts out of 32 major league teams at this tournament and about the same at the first tournament. That is a lot for these kids to digest.
