  1. 16 teams. They had some great competition in there.
  2. A big congradulations goes out to the Port Neches Atheletes Red team. They played in Cypress Fairbanks this past weekend and went undefeated and walked of the fields at 10:20 pm Champions. These boys fought hard and never gave up and deserved what they got........Get on a roll a keep it going.
  3. They might have hired the new president from a big conference school for a reason maybe? I think that is exactly why they hired him. I think they are looking into it.
  4. When your signals are 1-fastball 2-change and 3-slider who needs to steal them. You are blatenly given them to the other them. I have seen many select teams do this. Besides what team on the face of this earth has never stolen signals. If someone says they have never done it they or either lying or the Opie Cunningham's of baseball. It's part of the sport.
  5. My nephew played at Liberty Hill and they run the slot-t to perfection. If you run it right it can even a playing field. Give Dubois a year to get it put in and it can help HJ.
  6. Just because he had no runs scored against him and he doesn't walk a lot doesn't mean his pitch count can not be high. Taken batters to full counts and depending on how many the batter fouls off helps to elevate a pitch count. If they want to have him around the rest of the season  no matter if he has a no hitter going you still stick by the pitch count you set for the kid. It's not about the kid, it's about the team .
  7. It really doesn't matter who they throw out there.............Maybe they will suprise us this year. ;D ;D ;D
  8. This years players except with the possibility of Noel will be relegated to waterboy if they sign all 7. That's provided some do not lose their scholarship.
  9. With the class they have coming in half of the starters this year won't even be starting next year.
  10. All districts playing rules or the same per UIL because when they go to the playoffs if each district had it's own set of playing rules the umpire's would have to be put in an insane asylum trying to keep up with what district has this rule and which one has that rule. Now as far as dead areas and obstructions each differ at each field but that is determined how the field is set up.
  11. For the thid scenerio I blieve it is treated as a balk and the runner would advance to third.
  12. I have Louisville, Arizona, Kansas and Miami.
  13. Dwight needs to turn the tables on the arsehole Kobe and go on TV and tell him to suck it up and get his wimpy arse out on the court and play hurt.
  14. Kobe is the most selfish, arrogant, arse in basketball. It's easy to score as many points as he has when you don't give the other players on the team a chance to shoot. He must take 60 or 70 shots a game if not more. I love it when things go wrong for the Lakers.
  15. Just to let some of these people that are trying to protect the kids that were involved know. I have talked to some kids that play Junior College and a couple that play D1 and a couple of college coaches I know and the coaches have said that because of this little scheme that these kids pulled that they will not even look at a kid from PNG for a while because they don't know who was involved and who wasn't. Because of this even the innocent will be penalized. It's already hard enough to get a scholarship in the first place. Now even less schools will be looking our way.......Great job kids. Now you have made your friends and teamates pay the price for your inmature act.
  16. And where will this TALENT that is going to saturate Ozen and Central for baseball coming from. Have they been recruiting. Not saying they can't have some solid teams every now and then but I figured that with all the talent they have in Football and Basketball that Baseball takes a back seat to what athelete's play.
  17. I have to agree with Dick Vitale. I find it hard to believe that people in Port Arthur are just happy about making the playoffs. Everybody knows the success Lincoln had. TJ was a strong contender in 5A even though they were a small 5A. SFA always had strong teams in 3A. Now all three of these schools are combined and they are just happy to make the playoffs. Memorial should be a least a three deep perennial powerhouse and should plan on making reservations in Austin year after year. To much talent there not to. All I hear every year is how young they are. These kids have to grow up sometime. Could it be the coach may not be the right fit for this school? I just find it hard to believe they are satisfied with just making the playoffs with all the talent around that campus.
  18. I had already mentioned him in a previous post. Heard it a while back from a pretty reliable source that he would likely be a leading candidate. Have not heard for sure if he is in the running though.
  19. If you are talking about me, I have never defended stacking an elementary team.
  20. If there are kids that have transferred from PAM to Nederland they do not have to be recruited. There is an area around the Central Mall/Stone Gate area that is zoned to where a family can opt to choose to go to either PAM or Ned. If these kids did leave PAM to go to Ned maybe because they weren't getting enough playing time at PAM then if they live in this certain zone then nothing is wrong with it. Why do you think PAISD was so adamant about building the high school where they built it.....To try and attract more of those kids from that area?
  21. I thought he was in the running when they hired Flannigan.
