  1. Fairclothe is headed to La Vernia.
  2. Fairclothe was trying to get his son a TD to tie it. If it got tied then it would have been the same thing. I can’t believe y’all haven’t figured this out yet.
  3. A lot of people stayed home or went to see the Astros play. But, attendance is declining from the years past. A lot of people, after they graduate are moving away for better paying jobs then what they can here. Therefore we are getting people moving in either being transferred for their job or coming down here for construction work. Those people weren’t born and raised in the traditions of PNG so their kids don’t understand it. Therefore they don’t take interest in all of it. I was born and raised here and my family has had season tickets for over 45 years. These move ins don’t understand it used to be impossible to get season tickets unless they were passed down in families or someone was giving up their tickets because they either moved or passed away. Hate to say it but things aren’t changing for the good.
  4. This was not a great game by either team. Both teams looked as young as they are. I wish people would quit trying to sugar coat this team. They are young and are going through growing pains. It’s not pretty. I think these kids will get better but they have to learn to play as a team and with more enthusiasm before they do get better. There is no excitement on this team as in the past. Teams in the past when they did something good would be going crazy. Chest bumps, shoulder bumps even some moves they made up. Hell they even had the coaches involved. These kids just go through the motions. They need more pep in their step if they want to improve.
  5. I knew about the summer league. My son played in it and now coaches 1 of the teams in it. I’m assuming our team doesn’t participate in the fall is because majority of the team plays football as well.Thank you for your response.
  6. How long has this fall league been going on. My son played high school ball a couple years ago and didn’t know there was a fall league. He also played football so he wasn’t in baseball in the fall. But we still never heard anything about this.
  7. I graduated from PNG and my son just graduated from PNG. The difference in the way athletes from there play from my time to now is way different. We played with heart and pride and didn’t walk anywhere or we had extra gassers after practice. The way kids play now is like they don’t care. They just play football because that’s what you are supposed to do. They have no pride and majority of them are spoiled rich kids who think their sh_t don’t stink and it’s the coaches privilege he’s playing. The traditions at PNG may be the same. But the Pride of playing for the INDIANS is gone.
  8. They’ve already made them. They are talked about in this thread. Wake up dude.
  9. You are right about Liberty Hill. I had a nephew play football for them a couple of years ago, and a niece and nephew play soccer for them. The work ethic the have not many schools around here can duplicate. They take pride not only in sports but academics as well. BH is growing extremely fast and that can cause a school district a lot of headaches. But with the property taxes that BH has, and they keep rising, middle income families, where most of your athletes come from, can’t afford to move there so they have to take what they can get. Liberty Hill does not have that issue.
  10. No disrespect to Walker at Liberty Hill but Jerry Vance is the coach who turned LH into the program it is now. Walker has done a great job of maintaining it.....FYI Jerry Vance was in the hat when PNG hired Fairclothe.
  11. Coach Carter is a great man. I am very glad my son had the privilege to play for him. Those that talk bad about the man don’t truly know him. He is all about the kids he is coaching. He challenges them constantly makes them work, something some of these kids don’t know how. If you want it he will he will reward you. If you go half a__ and don’t put in the work and expect to play just because of who you are. Well, less just say you will need a pad for your butt because you will have a lot of pine time.
  12. Can someone please update this? I am unable to keep up with it like I usually do.
  13. Yeah it’s a familiar name to the area. Nelson has coach in Beaumont before. He has a losing record so it’s the perfect fit for the types of coaches Jackson hires.
  14. Just heard PNG just got a new DC. Haven’t heard who are where from yet. But, I will find out and give out details.
  15. Because that’s the way Jackson rolls. Nelson has coached in Beaumont before. Jackson will not go with someone he doesn’t know.
  16. All he could do is push for disaster relief and that’s already been done. He can’t go and work on power lines or generators or fix busted pipes. Oh, wait, he can go help pour water on the already frozen windmills and solar panels the dumba__ libs are saying they want to start using for our powers sources.
  17. Well, considering Cruz is neither an electrician or plumber or construction worker. What the hell is he supposed to do for us in this mess. Gov. Abbott is the person that makes the final decisions on what to do to get Texas up and going again. These local leaders know what they need to do and how they need to do it. Abbott and the Texas Congress committees go after the power services for not being prepared and not having a backup plan. So what the hell is wrong Cruz taking a little vacation with his daughters. What do you think Cruz should be doing? Especially since he’s been dealing with a bunch of idiots (libs) in D.C. for so long.
  18. I’ve known numerous parents that will do almost anything for the coaches just so their kids will play. Not all coaches partake but it happens. Hence my screen name.
  19. I agree with you 100% but it’s not going to happen. I watched just about every state game of 5A and 6A. Every school had a least 1 kid playing both ways. One team, can’t remember which one, had a kid that played receiver and corner. He had two TD’s receiving and two picks on D. If those teams can do it and play more games and play for State there is no excuse why PNG can’t except that Fairclothe won’t let it happen because more parents would b__ch about their kids not playing. This is one of the reasons why. Not playing kids both ways means there is 22 spots open for 22 kids. Welcome to PNG where little Johnny doesn’t even know how to put his pads on right but deserves playing time because mommy demands it or she will go to the superintendent.
