With all the hype that is following with SC... What would their psyche be if they lost a district game? not looking for any SA answer :-D serious question... I mean with all the success they have had in the District games... how do you feel they would deal with a District loss....
I know IMO coach it would be just like Lincoln in 2000 out of that stacked 20-4A district they had back then, changes would probably be made that don't need to made out of panic, only difference is I don't think SC would implode and miss the playoffs like Lincoln did after losing to WO-S then rolling off 3 more losses to end the season.
I totally agree... I do think that a District Loss would make them more dangerous in the post season though... kinda like a slap in the face... I think then they would come with that killer instinct...
If SC does have a district loss, it will be against Dayton.. IJS :P
Not IF, its when they play Dayton they will have a district loss, and im not so sure if SC can beat Crosby after thinking about it, if Crosby can play a lick of defense better than SC they will beat them also.
I don't think dayton will be able to score with us this year. The people i work with from dayton that watch practice said they're rotating 4 kids at qb and none look ready. Dayton was a 3rd and 36 prayer from the back of the endzone from being checkmated. The 3 turnovers to dayton's 0 killed us more than the two holding penalties we had deep in dayton territory that negated first downs and certain scores. We basically did whatever we wanted on dayton, both twins rushed for over 125 yards and raelon had over 120 yards on double digit catches. Just like the SC game the next week we had issues executing in the redzone. Dayton played their best game of the year and we played our worst as you can see by how the seasons ended up. I know dayton fans chalk it up to attitudes but y'all do know their younger brothers and cousins are still on the team right? Once other coaches got film of Dayton throwing fly routes they never moved the ball on another decent team all year. If we don't turn it over Dayton won't beat us at home this year.
If I had the time.. and wanted to make an effort I would so go find the thread from last season where you said almost the exact same thing.. So what happened last season? If these Dayton people you speak of, are on this forum please make it known who you are... I think your about as delusional as DD's I mean you did change your screen name after the loss you took from Dayton last year to Coug8broncos<--- that name change didn't make any since either...
I did say that last year, turns out i was right too. 5 of your 11 games y'all struggled to move the ball. Only playoff team y'all moved the ball on was us, we moved it every single game except Ned which was Roirdan's first game. Like I said, we played our worst and y'all played y'alls best. Y'all played 5 playoff teams last year and other than us you didn't have more than 239 total yards in any of them, y'all didn't even break 150 breaking on SC, Ned and BH. Y'all played one good game last year Zapril, come to terms with that like i have.
Umm you were talking about the game against Dayton.. Now that you have been called out.. you wanna drag the other "W"'s (which is all the matters anyway) into the picture.... And DD's you have no idea what you are talking about... -
To be honest Dayton is our biggest game on the schedule every year, we just happen to lose it a lot. If we beat Dayton this year SC will game will by far be the biggest game on the schedule though. I think we're going to be the only team in the district that can score with y'all unless you can't stop BH with Denny.
You'd be fools to make Dayton your biggest game regardless of the history. Why sweat a team THAT YOU CAN BEAT? Should have whooped them last year too. Crosby just needs to EXECUTE. Find just ONE receiver that can catch a ball and you'll be dangerous. Between the Walter's and just ONE more guy, you can have what you need in the skill area to handle most of the district ...til SC comes knocking. We are 64 days away from the start of the Texas High School Football Season and today is..... National Handshake Day Happy National Handshake Day! Today, we celebrate one of the most common greetings between two people. Did you know that handshakes have been practiced since at least the 2nd century B.C.? Many researchers believe that the handshake originated in the Western world. It was a gesture peace, demonstrated by the fact that the hands held no weapons. Today, a handshake is offered upon meeting or parting. It is an expression of goodwill, gratitude and congratulations. Many people believe that a handshake reveals something about the character of the person who gives it. A firm handshake reflects a confident personality while a floppy handshake reveals a shy one. Today, go ahead and give some nice, strong handshakes. Make sure not to grip too tight!

We are 65 days away from the start of the Texas High School Football Season ans today is...... National Chocolate Pudding Day It’s National Chocolate Pudding Day! Did you know that dessert puddings can be traced all the way back to the 17th century? During that time, a “pudding†was actually a very moist cake (similar to a modern-day bread pudding or plum pudding). The sweet and creamy confection we know and love today emerged in the mid-19th century when an English chemist named Alfred Bird developed an egg-free custard powder. This remarkable invention made it very easy to produce a delicious pudding with the perfect consistency. Today, pudding is a popular dessert all over the world.

"and that's a BIG IF..." :-D now he can say it and mean it LMAO! :-D )
Repeat from an earlier post . . . 19-4A enrollment numbers as of October 2012, according to the Texas Education Association: Summer Creek 2186 Crosby 1482 Dayton 1391 Houston King 1794 Humble 1483 Humble Kingwood Park 1681 Mt Belvieu Barbers Hill 1297 New Caney 1421 New Caney Porter 1493 SC is up by over 160 students in the one year since the October 2011 snapshot, and is about 50% larger than the average of the other 19-4A schools. At almost 2200, SC is in the same range as La Porte, PAM, Manvel. One of the big differences between SC and those three is that La Porte, PAM and Manvel have all won three or more playoff games in a single season within the past two years, while SC has only won ONE playoff game in those two years. Past two year playoff records: La Porte 5-2 Manvel 7-2 PAM 4-2 SC 1-2
That decline was probably from the class of 2013. Class of 2013 freshman year there were over 400 in that class alone.. This year when they graduated, there were only 283 that actually graduated...give or take a few transfers and drop outs. or the ones who chose night school academy (which by the way I am pretty sure don't count as actual UIL enrollment.) -

The only chance 19-4A has of stopping this team is talking about 5A competition a year (or more from now). MBG being the biggest mouth in this sad argument. How bout you focus on the teams SC will see THIS YEAR? Of course you can send your scare signals about what a school with 3500 kids will do to a school with 2,000. Big deal. Y'all are geniuses.
La Porte has less than 2200 kids. Try again. SC is fun to watch. So is Manvel. But, with no D, it's over quickly. All you're proving is 19-4A has no D's. ;D
BOOM! ;D
Sure ...its all about the other's team defense and has nothing to do with the quality of SC's offense ...right, right. Also, you basically slapped every school's defense in district 19 ...I'm sure there's many that would disagree. And didn't Vidor hold the mighty Netherland to a few TD's? And didn't the much touted Nederland defense get run out of the stadium by Georgetown?
If you actually attended the game like several of us on this site did you would have known the mistakes the NED offense made in that game that caused a great deal of good field position change (caused by the great defense of Georgetown: there's that D word again ;))
Demdawgs Delusional That D word? Just checking. -

National Catfish Day Today is National Catfish Day! Catfish is a versatile and delicious type of fish that is usually associated with Cajun-style cooking. In fact, about 95% of the nation’s catfish comes from Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, and Louisiana. In traditional recipes, each catfish fillet is coated with a blend of spices and then fried or blackened in a cast-iron skillet. Did you know that catfish is one of the most sustainable species of fish? Most of the catfish we eat is farm-raised, which is very eco-friendly. In 1987, President Reagan declared the first National Catfish Day to recognize the importance of the catfish farming industry. To celebrate National Catfish Day, fry up some homemade catfish for dinner, or head to a local Cajun restaurant to sample a little taste of the South!
Im sure there's some "catfish" posters on here from a certain area by Lake Houston also, MTV needs to investigate ;) ;D
Not sure what they meant by that... LOL
I'm beginning to really want to see SC in 21-5A with the existing teams. If they think they've seen D/physical play, it will be an eye opening experience. Manvel can give some pointers. I would have rated Manvel way ahead of SC in 2012. :)
Oh that is a great comparison ;D -
The playoff performance over the past TWO seasons (although SC has improved each year) is the ONLY knock you have on this team. You ride that horse cuz its really all you got. No one can deny their dominance in 19-4A and every team in the district was scared to play them last year. For a program this young, we should look more like NC or Porter ...but we're rolling and 2013-2014 stands to be even better than last year. You wanna talk about QUIET ...how quite was it EACH WEEK after EVERY team in district 19 and some of 20 got ROLLED by the THE GREATEST SHOW ON TURF. The ONLY fans that have room to talk are Georgetown*** The rest of 19-4A AND PNG/VIDOR ain't got jack to say until they beat the SC. You can call last year's squad THE UNTOUCHABLES ...cuz Dayton, Barbers Hill, Crosby, PNG, New Caney, Porter, Humble, South Houston, CE King, and Vidor COULD NOT TOUCH 'EM.
Thats what happens when the cards are in your favor with so much talent on Varsity... If it wasn't for the talent, yall would be 4-5 in district 19. Can't wait to see how verbal you are when the redistricting comes next year.. and yall are moved up... Or maybe not.. and yall lose all that talent and stay in district 19... :o -
