Actually ETBU went to the final four last year and could very well do it again. Jay McKnight freshman guard at ETBU from Fort Bend Marshall won defensive MVP of his district last year. The other best player on Marshall won Offensive MVP. They both play D3 basketball. With that said, Angel wouldn't have seen much minutes if any on last years Marshall team. But he all of a sudden contributes to ETBU right now. Idk about all that. Like oldschool said you are selling these lower classification players short.

Every voter is entitled to how he chooses to vote. I don't think there is a set criteria for which a voter is given to select a winner.

Steven Tims only player in state of Texas for 4A to have ATLEAST 200 tackles. I want to say entire state all classifications as well.

They could call Richland Springs and get a half six man/ half 11 man game lol. I believe this happened a few years back and the 6man team actually won.

On senior night I got taken out with a minute left with 40 points and my career high was 42. After the book keeper told Coach Hyman to I had 40 he put me back in and I hit a three with 3 seconds left! We were up by 30 but those three points were the greatest memory of high school sports I will take with me. Thank you Coach Rick! I know your on here somewhere. Well the fact he mentioned other teams doesn't really adhere to my statement because I said SETX. Also Bronco Pride I didn't say no where else needed them. But other places in Texas have better facilities, coaches, etc.

Those teams are not from SETX.

Generally speaking to be competitive statewide if you are a team from SETX in 4A down you will need black athletes to compete for the most part.

The past three years have all been uptempo style teams that have won state in 4A/3A trends are changing.

I don't think they would want to potentially play five times. But the bush game looms large as the biggest test for both teams.

Boyd played great. Centrals shooters couldn't hit any threes till towards the end of the 4th. Great game for Jakobe Dill SOPHMORE for Central. Ozen played with urgency every possession and Central didn't seem focused ever second of the game. And against a team like Ozen that will hurt. Good game to watch though.
