We all live vicariously through the kids on the field, passionate about our community, love of sports. There are a few that take it too far; I think we're all guilty of that. Wow!  Dropping the phrase "racially motivated" in your post shows a stunning lack of self awareness.  Mayfield may have some skin in the game given what happened with his son, but to add a racial component to this is ridiculous.  Plus, I would encourage you to think about that statement a little - the kid we are talking about being ineligible is African American.
(Lest I be accused of being "racially motivated", I just want to state for the record that I am white and have lived in Nederland for 40 plus years.  And, I still think he was dead wrong in how this was handled.)

Let's play who had something to lose-This kid comes out of nowhere and takes over a team, kids went thru camp fun, spring practice. Then the start of the season a two man race, first scrimmage who is this kid scenario. Second scrimmage then real play we at WOS, we have injuries and such. Now we start District welcome Mr. Laday first big win. Back to first sentence and question, who has something to lose?

The Crosby fan 14.2 made a comment about of the Nederland coach wasn't worried about his eligibility, then why sit the kid out after the Livingston game?
Maybe it was implied that he already knew this kid wasn't eligible from jumpstreet?

As for district, Buna sometimes has a pretty good team. Not sure who they have coming back.

There is a fan I avoid.  I take that back...I avoid all of them.  Fans are the reason I don't go to high school events very much at all.  Even when I had kids involved, I stood off to myself.  Football or basketball...the moronic outbursts are too much to handle.  I'm not saying all fans are bad...the percentage is too lopsided.  I think people should have to take a test before they enter, and make people sit in areas according to their score.
 

You have incorrect info. The first year the two teams scrimmaged, WO-S outscored PAM 20-7. The following year, PAM outscored WO-S by a lot. 
This thread is ridiculous. Congratulations for being part of the stupidity you refer to. Most WO-S fans DON'T CARE about who would beat who by playing teams in larger classifications. We're all about winning in 4AD2.
