Funny, but in the presentation of the HJ '91 team, it was noted that Todd Sutherland's state titles included when he was the assistant on that team.

Yes he is moving his arms and legs. They are taking him to the local hospital for follow up. He took a hard pick to the chest and fell directly back on his head.

Kind of like the VYPE magazine handed out at the HJ Marathon.  They picked the district champs for schools in the area.  I guess BS is not in their coverage area, because they picked Evadale to win district.  Not knocking Evadale at all, but how in the name of Hezekiah does that happen.  Must be new personnel at VYPE.  Been wanting to mention this for a while, but this seemed like the perfect opportunity.  We are fine with being under the radar.  If I am not mistaken, this is our 14th trip to the state tourney.  Bring it home boys!!!  See ya bright and early Friday morning.

I had a talk with CT and nobody wants to play WOS. I said coach if we had 1 returning starter like last year, teams WOULD BE LINED UP LONGER THEN I10. He said your absolutely correct Kent. He also said coaches are worried about Wins and Loses. An the only thing he's worried about is getting the kids ready for the long haul, Not wins and loses. Things are starting to get very fustrating and i feel as if the kids or getting cheated out of a game. As a 19 year old in an adult basketball tourney you are still a baby. So you should have to crawl while playing!!

it needs to be an adult tournament as in actual adults... old, overweight, over the hill.  not adult as in no longer in high school but still too young to drink.

Haha I have a group of guys and we play in tournaments like this all the time! Lol we just won 2 the past few weekends. We should be good lol

That sounds right! Lol it was in levelland. I remember the name from something. 

Oh, no.  That was the next year (when the sophomores this year were in 8th grade).  The year before Levelland finished 2nd to Navasota.  The year Buna finished 2nd, it was in Levelland.  Orangefield finished 3rd and I believe Fairfield won it.  Not sure where Levelland finished.  

I could've swore it was levelland. Lol all I know is Buna finished 2nd. I do agree though they do not have the athletes to compete. 

They actually lost to Navasota in the finals (in Canton).  That was the same year they kicked Silsbee up to the big school division because they had a Kountze player or two.  Silsbee did win Nationals, beating College Station in the Finals that year. 
Levelland should not be able to dictate the pace of this game.  Provided the refs don't call it like a 4th grade girls game, Silsbee's guard play should be way too much for the Lobos to handle.  Silsbee should dictate the pace of this game and Levelland is not nearly athletic enough to keep up. 

This is how we should judge Boyd's basketball career:
1.Getting high school diploma 
2 Opportunity to go to college  AND play sports. 
3.All the right ingredients to becoming a productive citizen. 
4.Role model and road map for upcoming athletes to mimic. 

I'm talking as far as public school goes I'm not familiar with Jones though...

Ozen has the 3rd best guard in the state of Texas IMO(after Fox & Caldwell) with championship pedigree Elkins will find that out tonight...
