1. I think he wants to study engineering or something similar, and Baylor doesn't have an engineering program. Just a thought.
 2. I'm thinking it's highly likely he will sign will Baylor when it's all said and done, considering that it's not only an excellent fit for him but it's EXACTLY what he is looking for in a program. Maybe if a Texas Tech or WV offered he would consider them as well.

It is not known yet if they will be zoned to Humble ISD. If they are zoned to HISD, the planned 6th new high school in HISD will be built sooner than later. The 4,000-acre wooded site off the northeastern elbow of Beltway 8, has sold the first major tract in Generation Park to FMC Technologies, makers of subsea, wellhead and other equipment for the oil and gas industry. FMC Technologies purchased 173 acres on the west side of Beltway 8 and is assessing its plans for the site.
You think they would zone them to Aldine ISD? Westfield already has nearly 4000. They'll probably use the Beltway for the cut off like they do between North Shore and Channelview.
The Generation Park development is no where near Aldine. It will be closer to Sheldon ISD, just south of Lake Houston. The Apartment complexes will be on the north side of Beltway 8, next to Summerwood subdivision, so it may fall in the Humble School District.
South of Lake Houston was the old district but do they still have all of that because now Liberty Lakes south of 90 and the developments to the west are Sheldon ISD too now.
Wow, all this is new to me just now hearing this. I knew there is a lot of space in that general area but I hadn't expected it to grow so much so soon.
 4.
So you're saying Isadore is transferring and probably going to start for a 5a playoff team but the backup qb for Porter was better? Maybe you can make that argument for Kellen Haynes when Brian Johnson transferred from Crosby to Baytown Lee but I don't know about that one. Isadore was far and away their best player from what I saw, the coach just needed to call some down field plays and open it up a little.
Isadore makes TONS of mistakes habitually if you watch his game film. Clark isn't the natural Qb that Isadore is but he is an all around better player. Plays the position kind of like Collin Klein, really good with the zone read/option. If Isadore takes care of the ball, has the right players around him, and his coaches call the right plays he is easily the best player for porter. Take all of that away and Clark is better.
 5.
19-4A 1. Summer Creek - mostly because of Sharp. I thought #76 from last year was SC's best defensive player and he's gone. SC gave up big yardage to Georgetown, Vidor, and Crosby last year but their "forget the D, we're just going to outscore you" philosophy might just work this year with Georgetown not expected to be as potent. Probably going to be Dawson, SC or depending on who makes the playoffs, Marshall for the D1 representative in region 3. 2. Crosby - haven't lost more than 2 district games in 8 years and I think at least 6-2 would get second place. Crosby opens with Ned in Cougar Stadium and has the chance to go 3-1 the last 4 meetings against the Dogs. Austin Walter has more career rushing yards than any other returning rb in 4A next year with over 3500. Aston is not too shabby his self with nearly 3500 career passing yards while adding 1600 rushing. Raelon Singleton has 8 FBS offers to play receiver and could be unguardable in district play next year. Return all o-line starters except one and 8 total on the offense. Don't have to wait long to see what the Cougars are about, 4 of their first 5 are Ned, BH, Dayton, and SC. We're definitely playing D2 unless Dayton doesn't make the playoffs so I think it's Marshall(maybe), Texas City, Elgin and Crosby as the favorites for the region 3 crown. T3. Kingwood Park - they only bring back 4 or 5 starters on defense and lost all but 1 of their starting offensive linemen which isn't good because their so run heavy but Jordan Feuerbacher returns at TE and ranked top 5 in the state. He's not much of a threat in the passing game only having 13 receptions for 205 yards in 21 career games but he blocks extremely well and is a threat in the redzone. The reason I put them third is because all of their skill position players on offense come back which is extremely valuable. They played Crosby tough but were blown out against the other 3 playoff teams they faced so they're going to have to be able to play very clean and a bit more physical but they're big and disciplined and should give teams fits. T3. Dayton - really just because they're Dayton but they have a couple issues. They're still pretty young to start off with and no one seems to know who the qb is going to be but either way he's going to be a first year non-senior starter facing some pretty good district competition, even from the likes of Humble and King. Dayton does have a good core of play-makers coming back with the McBrides, Isiah Chambers and Jaq Keener though so it's probably going to be 18 straight playoff appearances for the Broncos. 5. Barbers Hill - I really think BH could switch with KP and we have the same teams as last year. I put them 5th because they usually miss the playoffs every few years since they've been 4A, plus nobody knows if Denny is really playing. Either way they just don't match up well with Crosby and SC and I think they get one more loss in the other 6 games and finish the district season 5-3 like they did last year. BH has to almost play perfect to beat people with the scheme they run. I wonder if it's not time to add the forward pass to the playbook. 6. Humble - boys looked good when they got off the bus last year. They had size and speed but were basically North Forest when they were in this district. Great athletes but it's just not clicking right now, should be better than last year but I still think they finish with only 3 or 4 wins. 7. C.E. King - lost their best player to free agency so I don't see how they finish with more than the three district wins they had last year. One thing I did notice is that they didn't lose a game to a team that finished the season with less than 6 wins but even with the caliber of athletes they have an overall 4-6 or 3-7 record is what they're most likely headed for.    T9. Porter - Devlin Isadore, the Spartan qb is actually probably going to get a scholarship so there is a bit of talent there. They weren't a small team at all but they weren't very physical either. Whoever wins the NCISD battle will get to remove the T and put an 8 by their name. T9. New Caney - ran one play last year and were shut out in 5 district games. If they add a sweep to the playbook maybe they will only get shut out in half their district games next year. I don't see how that coach isn't on the hotseat.
Transferred to Ike. Qb will probably be colton clark, who IMO was the better of the two.
 6.
And to be clear.  The multiple starters that are zoned to Humble High School are there because Humble in 2009-2010 failed to track students after they left their campus, and were counted as drop outs.  This put Humble in an Academically Unacceptable rating (since rectified, as the school was a yea later made Academically Recognized.)  This places a 3 year transfer window for any student for any reason to any school.    Summer Creek undoubtedly is athletic and boasts a 5a attendance pool to draw from.  The transfers they got placed them on a pace to compete far sooner then expected.  Imagine if Gregory Hogan had remained the QB running that silly zone read offense they had their first year, WITHOUT Sharp coming in every 2 possessions?  Would we be singing the same praises?  probably not.  This class has 4 kids starting that had Humble just counted the students moving out of there school properly, would of NEVER attended summer creek.      Can you imagine a successful Summer Creek without Sharp?  As talented as they are.....no way. Summer Creek was very blessed to open at the time it did, it was a perfect storm for them to create a very formable team.
Hmm, you sure Sharp and Hogan are in Humble high attendance zones? I know they went to Humble middle, which feeds some into Humble high and some into SC (mainly the neighborhoods closer to the beltway). I just assumed that was where they lived but idk.
 7. I think we've all made the point that kids act like kids and that's a shame or whatever, can we get back to talking football?
 8. Is Dem Dogs the "Greatest Show on Turf" guy? Or was that someone else?
Sounds about right.
Wasnt like that in the locker room when I was there, doubt it is now. Just saying...
That's how it was on the field...baseball most recently, and at least freshman football...for the games I have seen.
If thats true I'm really disappointed. If its the freshmen then I suppose it makes sense, they never had the chance to meet Mr. Trey Kraemer, former SC principal and my personal role model. Every morning he would say our school motto, "attitude is everything", and it really meant something when he said it. I know it sounds cliche, but this man really helped us change our identity as a "ghetto" school into a group of young men and women that are leaders in their community and have high expectations for themselves and others. To translate that into sports, lets take the 2013 class as an example. In 2009 as freshmen they were terrible in football, winning a combined 5 games between the two teams that season if I remember correctly. Fast forward to their junior and senior seasons, they contribute to a back to back district championship team with several all district players. Everyone keeps saying how athletic they are and all but I assure you they wouldn't have been as impressive without the hard work they put in every day in practice and in the weight room. If anyone is "pompous" or "demands respect" its us fans, not the athletes.

But that's only justification from what we can see today, the 2013 season will be built starting in the summer for the most part.
didnt sc have the same record the year before and a first round bow out to a weak mw team. Seems like they recovered for a descent year in 2012. I hope everybody counts dayton out because of their youth. It will make 2013 that much sweeter. Also you cant listen to coug14 its makes you make statements like kw park will beat dayton. Come on man.
Comparing the 2011 SC team to the 2012 dayton team based on record is kind of apples to oranges. The 2011 18-4a, which was the district SC was in, was kind of a sub par district where the only real competition was K-park and Willis, the latter we lost to. The 2012 19-4a was quite a bit stronger of a district where that 9-1 record of dayton's involved some quality wins (such as barbers hill and crosby) and the one loss was to a state ranked opponent. On top of that, try to compare a 21-7 loss from Ned to a 41-19 beating by Magnolia West. To make a long story short, dayton is in much better shape coming off of 2012 than SC was coming off 2011 based on relative success so they shouldnt be that much under the radar. As far as K-park potentially beating dayton in 2013, its kind of a shot in the dark prediction based on returning athletes, and therefor, an assumed difference in maturity. My best guess is that puts K-park slightly ahead of dayton and bh, but any of those three could finish third, maybe even better.

Sc with there qb and two receivers back and that transfer running back. And Crosby with the twins and that tight end coming back. If they find a defense they would be serious contenders in D2.
Why do you think D2 is so much easier?  To me it's all the same.
In my opinion there are a lot more tougher teams in D1 than in D2. At least it was that way last year. I'm not saying that all teams in D2 are push overs. I'm just saying D1 has a lot more powerhouse teams. IMO that is.
I agree, the reason D2 is easier is because of the enrollment. Georgetown won 3 or 4 games in 5a before realignment. The powerhouse teams like Dawson, Georgetown, Summer Creek, and 4a state champ Denton Guyer all have enrollments around 2000 or above. All things being equal an extra 5-600 kids makes a big difference. Division 2 teams are usually within a couple hundred kids of each other which makes for less disparity between the teams.
Then how do you explain some small schools consistently beating bigger schools or even schools from a lager classification?  BTW, I wouldn't consider Georgetown and SC powerhouses yet.  Nothing against them, but SC has one playoff win and Georgetown had one good year.  Dawson is proven, but that's about it.  Even they lose to a few smaller schools.
Which smaller schools are you talking about??
Brenham, LaMarque, Navasota, Stephenville & Dayton.  Those schools have under 1,500 students and have consistently beat schools with a 2000+ enrollment.
Forgot about Ned
i guess i have a different definition of consistently then. ned is the perfect example. i read an article earlier this year by some guy who had ned winning the region and cedar park winning the state championship saying cedar park was the best 4a team in the state. at the time ned was like 3-1 and cedar park was 2-2 so naturally i thought this guy was off his rocker and wasn't going to read that trash anymore. ned played for a regional crown in d1 and cedar park won the state 4a crown in d2. he also said, ''with teams like guyer, georgetown'' and some san antonio school ''dropping down they should already have a playoff spot reserved''. georgetown has been in the 5a cellar the last couple of years, they won 15 games in 4a last year. i'm not at all being confrontational but what 4a playoff teams with 2000 kids has ned consistently beat. there's a single win over dawson but 2 losses to 2k enrollment schools, before that it was consecutive first round losses to crosby. not even the great la marque could consistently beat 2k enrollment dawson and manvel in the district and especially playoff time. what team like that has dayton beat. of course a good 4a team can beat the 5a teams like atascosita, chavez, reagan, and south houston but there's a difference between those high enrollment schools and a 4a district champ with 2000 kids. saying that i do believe any team can be beat a a given night.
Atascocita is probably a bad example, they as well as Kingwood got slaughtered by the likes of Westfield and other schools 1000+ higher enrollment in 13-5a. I feel like just about anyone aside from a 5a powerhouse would experience a similar fate.
Factually incorrect.  Westfield beat Kingwood 45-31 and although Kingwood lost 3 additional district games last year, no loss was more than 10 points.  I would hardly call that a "slaughter".  ::)
I was exaggerating, both atascosita an Kingwood had their highlights last season, in fact I think if Kingwood had fed the beast (aka Kade Harrington) as much early in the season as they did late I believe they would have made it to the post season. Their new coach is kind of a spread offense loyalist.
