1.
im gonna laugh when aschom78 has come back and eat his words... I think he is chummy with cougar14 AKA coug8broncos whatever his alias was/is
I would have no issues eating my words, anything can happen in an offseason.
 2. A few of you made some good points about the teams in 19-4a, so I'm going to refine my previous prediction for next season. #1: Summer Creek (believe it or not, they will be even better next year. They will likely start around 20 seniors, many of which are 3+ year varsity players including the 4 guys who were on the team as freshmen. It will be tough for the WR corp to replace Hogan and Ruffin, so expect Torrey Johnson to get the majority of Sharp's passes. 4 starters return on the O-line, which were a bit soft last year, so hopefully the offseason treats them well. Much of last years depth at LB will compete for starting spots and will be a very strong part of the defense) #2: Crosby (going to be much more competitive than most expect, should have one of the most explosive offenses in the state. They are the only team I expect to challenge SC in the regular season and could potentially upset them and might have a shot at the 4a-d2 state championship. Only question mark is defense, which is something they definately have to improve in the offseason) #3: Kingwood Park (yeah, considering how most of their impact players will return for them and how solid their coaching staff is, they should improve dramatically this offseason) #4: Barbers Hill (a bit of uncertainty here, but with thier 3 leading rushers and a few solid defensive players returning for them I like them a little more than dayton to make the playoffs) #5: Dayton (I am by no means trying to insult dayton fans here, dayton will still have a good team, it just wont be as dominant as it has been in recent years. Most programs would be lucky to say 6-4 is a down year, especially in such a talented district. With that being said, they will have a few young players that will, if not already, make a name for themselves) #6: C.E. King (I still think they will be better than everyone else expects them to be, but having a few good skill players won't get them to the post-season. Its kind of a shame they have such a good RB that they can't effectively use) #7: Porter (Its a natural reaction to laugh when someone ranks porter over humble, but in 2013 I think it makes sense. When their class of 2014 were freshmen, they dominated all other district freshmen teams. Going into the 2013 season more than half of the startering squad will be third year varsity starters from this class, as well as a few additional returning starters. Sounds like a pretty good group of athletes to me, but there is just one problem. Their coaches dont seem to know how to appropriately develop talent, and thats why this talented team will be wasted on another losing season. At least they will probably beat humble) #8: Humble (Humble has gone down hill, as much as it pains me to say that. Sure, they will return some good players in 2013, but this entire program is still in the rebuilding phase, and that includes their coaches and their overall attitude. I see good things for them in the future, but it wont be until 2014) #9: New Caney (Maybe they should just play JV for a while)
 3.
oh and no way C.E.King comes in ahead of Kingwood Park
I dont know, I kind of like what I see coming back for King next season. Plus, I'm just not sure about K-Park. I dont think they will be a playoff contender again until 2014.
 4. My prediction for 19-4a is: Champ: Summer Creek #2: Crosby #3: Barbers Hill #4: Dayton #5: C.E. King #6: Kingwood Park #7: Porter #8: Humble #9: New Caney
 5. Definately a good group of athletes. I agree with Quirante as MVP. I think WR Greg Hogan from SC should have been on this list.
 6. I guess its fair to have Cedar Park at #2 because they are a state champ, but GTown would probably have beat them by a considerable margin had the two played each other. Plus I think aledo is ranked a bit high if playoff finish is that significant.
 7. Is that same guy still trolling about Georgetown being a 5A school playing 4A? lol. I think when they opened East View GTown didn't lose any of their better players (or any of their players for that matter, lol I mean 50+ seniors? that's incredible!). Either way, they are a legit 4A school and are definitely earning their stripes.
 8. I haven't seen either of these teams play this year, but just looking at the statistics WOS's defense looks crazy good. Likewise I hear Navasota has an almost unstoppable offense. Should be a good one at turner in my hometown.
 9. This should be another great matchup, I was very fortunate to get to see the Nederland v Dawson game and I must say it was the best game I've seen in a while, perhaps state championship level of a game. My prediction of the result was 20-17 Ned, pretty fricken close maybe I should go to vegas lol. I must say Nederland is for real, if they win state they would definitely deserve it, no question. What jumped out to me about the game friday was how poorly Dawson behaved when a call didn't go their way, which is not the attitude of a champion. Lets see how Nederland handles the style of play Georgetown will bring, that D-line of nederland's needs to have a good game. There is a good chance I may be wrong, but I am taking GTown 31-28
 10.
But....it doesn't matter, I still feel the defense wasn't gonna stop them. We literally handed them 2 Tds from defensive mistakes...
Missed tackles on the screen play. that is all... Not really, lol Georgetown's offense was just a little more than they could handle
 11. I was following this game on twitter and I thought that Crosby had this game in the bag. Then all of a sudden the second half comes around and manor puts up a ton of points. what the heck happened?

The qb from gt is legit and will be playing big time ball on saturdays.
Georgetown's QB was a beast! I cant believe there aren't any big name schools looking at him. I wouldn't say SC was outcoached, just outplayed. Through and through Georgetown was the superior team, don't take anything away from coach Ford and company.
No, they were out coached.  Coach Ford has a history of being out coached as an OC, and a history of relying heavily on talent.  Coach ford will need a reincarnation of the 2003 NS team to win him a title.  But then again, any coach with that level of talent could win a title in their sleep.
I will admit that there were a few questionable calls that he made yesterday, but for the most part SC was playing SC football. What I didn't understand is why open the game full force with some kind of empty backfield air raid when GTown's D was primed and ready to defend against the pass. I know SC isn't that great running the ball, but why not get the O-line physical early to keep GTown's D-line off balance when they do throw the ball. Heck it worked in the opening drive of the second half, why not play out of the I until they prove they can beat it. Ok nevermind SC got outcoached, lol.
Ok so Nederland was playing a bit too sloppy, that makes a lot more sense. In that case, if Nederland can limit turnovers and can capitalize on the turnovers Angleton would be likely to commit, then I would favor Nederland in that rematch. Plus, Angleton has something of a gimmick offense from my understanding, so having seen it twice should play into Nederland's hands. Was it you who said Nederland would lose BIG to Connaly?
No sir. My line has been that Nederland is suspect due to close win over Vidor and less than impressive win over a very weak Dayton team.  You gain no power ranking points by beating Pflugerville or Dayton.
Thats because you approach everything with an apples vs apples perspective when you can't do that in football.  Football is about match-ups, game plans, and style.    Nederland beat dayton 21-7, and Summer creek beat Dayton 45-7.  You conclusion is that Ned isn't as good as SC because of that score, however you discount how the two teams match up, what the key's of victory were for Ned, and the style of play (were they air it out, or ball control?).    This is why you didn't see GT coming, and its why you have a distorted view of how good YOUR team was.
Hope I'm not interrupting, but yeah I would agree that it is about match ups as opposed to aggregate scoring. However, my argument in favor of SC as a better team than Nederland would be based on SC having a quality passing game that Nederland's D hasn't seen much this season, as well as Nederland running the type of offense that SC's D has a better grasp of defending. Georgetown overpowered SC with their passing game because SC doesn't defend the pass well in addition to Georgetown's D being able to handle a strong passing attack. It is going to be interesting to see what kind of game Dawson and Nederland bring next week. Unless one completely dominates the other at all phases of the game, I dont see the winner of this game making it passed the winner of Angleton/GTown.
Nederland can take Angleton for sure. GTown would be a good game.
Didn't Angleton beat Nederland 39-33 early in the season? I didn't see the game so I'm not sure what exactly went down, but it should be no less of a challenge for nederland a second time around should it?
Yes we did lose, but when you have 4 turnovers the first quarter on your side of the field and still almost pull out a win 2 and a half hours away from your town in terrible weather. Plus Hopkins got hurt and Pryor (55) was out for a large portion of the game as well. I know we lost, and that game is over. But if we played again I would like Nederland's chances.
17. Both SC and Crosby should be better next season, I think the same goes for most of the teams in district 19-4a, most of the teams have fairly young, yet talented players.
 18.

I think Angleton is the favorite going into this game due to their history as well as the lack of press Georgetown has been getting throughout the season. Its a bold prediction I know, but I have GTown winning this one by two scores. It will be quite a challenge for angleton to crack 30+ on GTown's D, but if anyone can do it its angleton. I was at college station yesterday to watch Georgetown dismantle SC's explosive offense, it was tough to watch as an alum.
But Angleton and SC are two totally different offenses.
True, that's a good point. Angleton has a very effective run game where SC made its name in the passing game. SC didn't run the ball too much against Georgetown but when they did I saw some pretty big holes, and this was with an inexperienced O-line. If angleton keeps doing what they do best on offense and can at least plays a little defense they should have it in the bag. I just haven't seen enough good defensive play by angleton to make me believe they can stop georgetown.

 20. I feel really lucky that I will get to catch this game, should define just who these teams are for real. Dawson has been a little shaky recently and Nederland had a tough win against a connaly team that was without their starting QB. I'm taking Nederland 20-17, they might have the best D in the state this year.
 21. Why are you guys taking the time and effort on this troll? He makes the rest of us SC fans look bad.
 22. I just want to apologize for the lack of class some of my fellow SC fans have displayed. SC played a solid game yesterday but came up short to a better Georgetown team, lets not downplay the quality of both teams or their hard work and dedication this season. SC took their loss with dignity and will look to the off season with much to improve on. Angleton v Georgetown is going to be a heck of a track meet, too bad I wont get to see it.
