Some good names, but no one with pedigree as a head coach.  Sounds to me like the AD job is being applied for seperately.  There are quite a few non football names on that list.  If they are going to go that route, why wouldn't they just give it to Sutherland?  Hmmmm, more to come I guess.

They may try to go the Liberty route and not release it.  I doubt it though.  The Beaumont Enterprise is a little more persuasive than the Liberty Vindicator and KSHN>

[/quote] Who said my worry was because Yates was a black school?  That is a pretty harsh assumption you made there sir.  I was simply asking about safety in response to the fact that Silsbee fans were involved in an altercation in the parking lot after the Kashmere game.  Also there are threads describing the tense discussions between the coaching staffs, the fans on this board are pretty intense with their jawing, and a report of a dust up between the players taking place before the game even started!  Yates being a black school is the least of my worries.  I just wanted to make sure the environment would be safe for my young son to see what I expect to be a great basketball game.  Don't project that racism on me!  8)

Playactionpass, If high school kids only play to get to the next level, what happens to the 98% of the team that doesn't make it? If you think those kids are only out there to go play in college, you are nuts.  Those kids play to win games at the 4A high school level.  A coach with no credentials, but with college connections, will not help them win at the 4A level.  If they hire Brown, it will simply be a brother in law type deal and Central will continue to flop around in mediocrity.  The need to hire a credentialed high school coach, not a college position coach with "connections".
