  1. Ok. You just happened to have that phone number and extension handy.
  2. Somebody got their panties bunched!
  3. Absolutely. If he is the real deal, we will find out this year.
  4. Jones biggest issue is that he has played at Legacy up until this point. You can pretty much pause his development at the point he began playing there.
  5. Celina will make some noise.
  6. A return home for his wife and family. Congrats Coach Kirkland and family.
  7. Which one has the Baylor tattoo? I think it's Martin, right? What are the chances they release him? Probably slim.
  8. Oh, the floodgates are about to open. If there was a transgression around Baylor's football program, it's about to come out. The happiest place in the world right now is Ole Miss. They can announce their self imposed penalties and get no press because Baylor's wheels are actively falling off.
  9. He's already where he is going. I've heard that he is hesitant to let anyone know where he is. What a shame, he was one of the good guys. A real up and comer.
  10. [Hidden Content] Interesting article. Even more interesting is Martin using the term "my hotline is blinging". Geez.
  11. Are we seriously talking about a school that will not hire a coach simply based off of the color of his skin? Shouldn't this be bringing more outrage than "lol"?
  12. That's exactly what I am saying. Of course they would want to play for a state title everywhere, but why not create an atmosphere where it's not just the championship that creates the memory, but the experience of playing on the biggest stage any of them will every see in their lives?
  13. The larger issue is we have entitled kids (players) running around with no accountability. Add to that the influence from most of the music these days that constantly demeans women and refers to them as B's and H's, and you have a recipe for disaster. Entitlement babies preying on those who they believe are prizes and not people creates a culture where NO is not an acceptable answer. It's hard for me to believe that any coach or institution will ever be able to get that totally under control.
  14. haha The happiest team in the state is Texas Tech. They can now slip in on the spread suited guys and make a play. Baylor had pretty much locked them out of the discussion for the top guys.
  15. Man, TOC is almost worthless. Those guys have made that place hard to visit.
  16. This. It is just a better venue......that is all there is to it. If I remember correctly, I read a few years ago that Jerry barely makes enough money off of this weekend to pay the electricity used during the three days. It's not about money to him, he's selling an experience. No one grows up dreaming of playing for a state championship at NRG, or the Alamodome.
  17. Uhhhhh, this is gold.
  18. Let's be real. Smoaky is not nearly adequate enough to be anyone's #1 choice in TXHSFB message boards. It was only a matter of time before you came back home.
  19. I interrupt this discussion to bring you the following breaking news..... BG IS BACK!
  20. Not true. Houston didn't who up last year...pure and simple. People didn't come out to the games. The truth is AT&T is simply a better venue and a bigger draw, and it's in a better location. Cut and dried.
  21. Right. A 100K education they could have gotten at many other universities. They chose Baylor for football not education, and now the guy they committed to play for is gone. Any of these local kids going to Baylor could've gone to UT, A&M, TTU.....any of those schools. I'm so tired of disgruntled dudes sitting around telling a kid he shouldn't be upset because he's "getting an education".
  22. I feel so terrible for the kids who just signed in February.
  23. As they should be. No better venue, no better atmosphere.
