*Cleveland at Coldspring Updates*/Cleveland wins 72-61
The majority was the students that graduated 5-7 years ago but with 5 mins still let in the game two 40-50 year old women sitting three rows up from the Coldspring's bench taunted two players continuosly. They was standing screaming and waving there arms specificlly at two coldspring players demanding them to say they suck and sit on the bench. It only escalated the other fans and those two players to make comments back. The Coldspring Coach should of had them removed from behind them or had a meeting with the refs and/or security. Just my opinion.
My statement was to point out, the majority of the rowdy fans, the recents grads (5-7yrs). Also, if you re-read, I said, " Im not excluding all fans." You may have seen two adults. Im pointing that the rowdy fans consisted of a large portion recents grads and not parents. Two adults dont represent all the parents in attendance. JMO. -
Exactly...and in some cases it isn't even the students...its their parents. That is just a shame.
Its a shame, the game ended early bcuz of the fans, but I wouldnt go as far to say, it the parents of the student athletes. The rowdy fans would be people that have been out of HS for 5 to 7 years & some were recent grads. Im not exclude all fans, but to cast shame on the parents, that not respecting the student athletes. -
*Liberty at Cleveland Updates*/Cleveland wins 54-47
Once again the coaching concepts being used in Cleveland basketball remain a mystery. Nevertheless, the Indians pull out a victory over Liberty by the score of 54-47.
This shows that Clev. is all Talent, with no Coaching intellect , is pathetic to see such bad coaching with a talent pool like Clev in the like 5/6 years. The Players pretty much Coach themselves. You, I , & other fans see better coaching in 21-3a games. A Win is a Win though. -
I agree with Indian 15/16. In fact I started a thread about it when I first saw the bracket last week. No way Kelly and Cleveland should have played in the first game and they should not have even been in the same bracket. They should not have met until the championship game. Both teams were rusty from the Christmas break and Kelly hasn't played a game since Dec 11 at PNG because they had mid-terms the week before Christmas. Kelly was only allowed to have 1 hours practices during mid-terms so it was an extended layoff for our guys. Our guard play was the difference. Good luck to Cleveland the rest of the tournament.
indians15/16 Im fan of 3a setxsports & 22-3a, why are those Indians, so inconsistent & play lazy a times? Is Coaching? Players? Idk. Bcuz they have the talent to win in the playoff & make a deep run, possibly state.

How is the Woodville Tournament going? Especially those 22-3a teams. -
*Shepherd at Splendora Updates*/Splendora wins 54-44

I want to go with the Under-Dog team Shepherd, but Splendora wins this game. -
Liberty will lose this game, but will compete early in the game. Cleveland has a nice 1-2 punch, between the guard & center, surround with ok role players. That should be enough to defeat Liberty.

TopDawg, What about the Cleveland players a few weeks ago? The Guard & Center?

Splendora's win was a good for them and unexpected against Coldspring, in Coldspring. Its still early in the district play to know, if the win will be significant, but for now it does make things a bit more interesting and open opportunites for other teams.

I did forget Shepherd. the Shepherd kids compete hard in every game, unfortunately they dont get many wins. They are missing a go to player.

**22-3A District Play Updates**/Post scores here
Zaq replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Yea. Splendora win against Coldspring has definitely shook the district. A good win for Splendora, now they have to build on that win, because it is still early in the district season & one good win, cant win the other games. -
Coldspring, Cleveland, Liberty,Tarkington, Huffman, & Splendora. Coldspring has a team, but plays down to there competition. Cleveland has a nice guard, wing, & center, but seem inconsistent. Liberty has talent, but coaching is questionable & team chemistry. Tarkington is trying to find there way, not a good team & young. Huffman has good guards, but other then that. What should the fan know. Splendora is a combination of Huffman & Tarkington. -------------------------------------------------------------------- WhAt are somethings the fan should know about your team or teams in 22-3a.
