2. Will be a good test for these young Indians. Texas City is always a physical encounter just like WOS. This scrimmage will tell the tale on how good these boys are. I'm hoping to see more of a rotation with the QB's to see what each one can do against a quality opponent. Also will see where the weaknesses are on both sides of the ball. Hopefully he will make changes during the scrimmage if someone isn't doing their job to see what someone else has to offer.
3. We shall see what the Indians really got once they line up against Texas City. Would like to see them using the sophomores more on offense. I liked what i saw in Cropper, Morse, and Giblin. They are definitely players that need to be on the field. I saw Walker take some hits tonight and wonder how much abuse he can take with his size. Halfin was really impressive too.
4. No Doubt! Trey is a very good player and a player that has a nose for the ball and will also put you in the dirt.
5.
Couple of points: First, the headline was not mine. I'm trying to model this on what I do for The Crawfish Boxes, where I take on three different things each day on different topics and provide quick posts or thoughts. Sometimes it will be about one team, sometimes all three, like today's Three Things. The headline was misleading, because I never intended it to be a straight PN-G piece. Second, totally whiffed on Vidor. I had seen some teams trying it out and found a few news stories from around the state that acted like it was a new thing. Our coverage doesn't include Vidor, as the Orange Leader has typically handled them. Honest oversight, which I'll correct in a future piece. Lastly, I do appreciate the feedback on this. Two-a-days can get kind of dull to report on after the first couple of days, so I'm trying to be creative and have some fun. It won't always work, but there's always the next story, right?
I follow PNG and I'd like to know how you think the Morse kid has a steep climb to beat out Walker. From what I've seen and heard others say, there isn't much difference in the 2 other than size. I hear alot say that the Walker kid is better suited at CB based on how he did last year and their recent problems with defense.
6. I think you all will see a very improved Offense and Defense. I know the boys over there are young this year, but they have that fire that wasn't there last year. I know a lot are looking to see how the defense works out. I think it will be a close game again due to the fact that both teams will be better.

8.

Lets hope the line for nederland keeps white healthy all year seay has been to a couple camps this summer had great showings at the manning camp as a wr and just got back from the LSU prospect camp were he was invited to the coachs office after the camp to meet the recruiters for his area was told what to work on and that he was add to their watch list he camp their as a LB and WR turned heads at both positions but coach were more hiped over his WR play betting some of the nation best DB all camp.
The kid is one heck of a football player. He has the size and arm for QB, Hands and quickness for WR, Strength and physicality for LB, and Size and cover ability for Safety. Whatever position he plays this and next year he will succeed greatly in.
thats a fact Jack
9. Sage from what I hear will be defense and WR. White is the starter. Sage is a hell of an athlete and I think they will use him quite a bit on both sides.
10. I heard yesterday that the potential starting QB Chase Shugart has decided not to play football this season and focus on Baseball. Hearing that Byron Trahan the in coming freshman will be up for the job. He is a very good athlete.
11. Next Monday they will vote on the recomended coach.
