The 2007 Texas High School Powerlifting Regional Champion in 148 lb class comes from Hamshire-Fannett!!! Calvin Johnson took 1st place with a total lift of 1250 lbs!! He also took "Outstanding Squatter" & "Outstanding Lifter" in the light platform. His squat was 550 lbs, bench 250 lbs, and deadlift 450 lbs. He also set a new Regional record for squat. Old record was for 540 by TJ Hoerner, Hardin Jefferson in 1996.
