It all good

That post that I posted your name was but the post about me saying that this area is weaker was for Bleed orange though. I was responding to that post before that one. The one he talked about O-Field beating HJ within the next couple of years.
-
Lazeek that post had nothing to do with u. I was informing that message to bleed orange.
-
Come on Lazeek, you know what I mean. Read between the line. I'm not saying Silsbee or any other powerhouse teams aren't any good. I'm staying overall in the area SE hasn't been as strong as it used to be.
-
You are correct but Orangefield made the playoffs last year and in 2005. I think the teams are still strong. Silsbee went to the state tournament last year and HJ won it the year before. 21 3A is strong. Kountze and Ozen has fallen a little bit but they will be back. This area was known for football and I think that is changing. Basketball is closing the gap and quickly. They did make the playoff in 05 and 08 but do you see them in the playoff every year like all other teams
-
Those teams like EC and Kountze. That is the reason I said the area is not as strong as they used to be in the years past.
-
I'm going to tell you my opinion. A lot of teams in this area that has been a pretty weak team in the past and for the last couple years they have been improving like O-Field. This is how I see this area the only reason a lot of teams can say they heading in the right direction is because this area isn't as good as is used to be few years ago. Teams like Silsbee, HJ, WO-S, Ozen, Kountze and EC used to dominate this area in their classification. But this year seem to be more of a down year for the whole area which makes the "Improving" (Nederland, PNG, and O-Field etc...) teams seem that they can hang with the powerhouse team in the area. But I'm not trying to bring those teams down because they have really worked hard to get where they at right now.
-
I can understand what you saying but it a figure of speech. When a team is possibly more talente, athletic and better than another team. All will say we will win by as much as we want. It all just figure of speech.
-
You don't think that HJ will beat OF?????? That is what we are talking about here....HJ vs. OF!!!!! No, I'm saying that I wouldn't be upset if HJ win. Because it is possible that they should win this game.
-
Trust me that will never happen. ;)
-
Because it is... :D
-
HJ win this in a fashionably upset. 68-40

I actually agree with Laeek and Beeninikes. There aren't any other guards as good as Robinson and Benard, but there are four threads just talking about them too. There are other that can be mention to make this thread more intersting. WO-S #12 deserve some reconiction and so does Hayes too.
-
I pick Shannon over any guard in this area. And can someone please mention some other guards in this district cause it getting really annoying hearing just two guards when there are six teams in this district.

Jasper 93 Pollock Central 47 Final

This is a tough district and Jasper is doing pretty well. -
WO-S secured that 3rd playoff spot. They have a good group of players and it shows last night. But they lack in experience and doesn't have a go to guy after their guard can't get through. O-Field, you better watch out for them Mustang.
-
That what their weaknes for that 1st half but they just started out cold. WO-S took advantaged of our mistake. But next week Silsbee will be working on those mistake they made.
-
Brady had 4 three pointers tonight. One in the first half and three in the third quarter. Thank for the correction
-
O-Field will not make the playoff. I repeat O-Field will not make the playoff!!!

Silsbee really could have won by a bigger margin. This game was intense until midway to 3rd qt. WO-S has proved that they can play the game. They have a good defense but during this game every time Silsbee shot the ball and miss Silsbee rebounded well on the offensive end but just wasn't gettin it in. They kept rebounding at least 3-5 times before they either made the shots or WO-S got the defensive rebound. As you know Brady Byars was on fire with his threes's tonight. He got us a huge lead while shooting 4 long ball during the 3rd qt run we had against WO-S. I believe he had either 6 or 7 three's. Pheal Hill started the 3rd qt run by scoring the first 6 points off of WO-S turnovers. D.C Stallworth handle the board defensively tonight; he had around 4-5 blocks I believe. Nick Walters handle the press for the Tigers. Prentice Lane had some good moment tonight too. He kept the defensive pressure up all throughout the game. Shannon Robinson did what he do every game which is playing PG. He was a playmaker tonight, he got his team involve in the game and made limited mistake. He had a couple steals tonight too. Overall the Tigers played well as a team in the second half but 1st half WO-S was killing them with their full court press defense and then Silsbee finally broke out of that press during the 2nd half. WO-S player #12 is a good player he takes it to the hoop everytime but when he is getting double team he can't handle the pressure and start turning the ball over. That happen every single time he got double team; which rarely happen in the 1st half until closer to the end of the 2nd qt and then Silsbee started doing it every time in the 2nd half. ps. There was a fan that was jumping on the WO-S coach. I believe the incident was about his son/grandson didn't get any playing time and the fan got mad and jumped on the Head coach of WO-S.

He's a very good basketball player. Has a legitimate shot at starting at post once he get used to playing on varsity
