Diboll has been state ranked all season and to see them get beat like that and that bad opens alot of eyes to the opponent Gilmer. I predict Gilmer to go to state in D2

WOS and Silsbee have tons of athletes and quickness on both sides of the ball. By far the most that HJ has seen all year!!!! Not taking anything away from Cleveland but WOS and Silsbee are very deep with athletes on both sides. ;D ;D :o That's right. WO-S and Silsbee both have athletes and speed on both side of the ball. C-town just might have some speed to but I'm sure it wouldn't been able to stay with those two teams.

Well good luck to them Titan but I really don't see them winning district over Baytown Sterling this year. I have seen them play summer league and that's a good group with senior leadership and talent overall. They also are deep in the bench.

Honestly..we were all disappointed that game was cancelled. We enjoy playing teams like WOS. It great for our kids to play teams of their calliber. If they lose they lose..but the experience they gain from the game makes them better!!! You guys were our only loss last year!!! I think we deserve a little resepect!!! Don't forget that we (Silsbee) did lose to yall at the last min by one point...

William Harper is verbally commited with a full scholarship to Lamar. He was Silsbee QB and defensive back in his senior year of 2006. He's a good pick as a strong safety.

Since I called it last week, HJ wouldn't score against WOS, and I said that HJ had won their last game of the year when they beat HF, I guess I still have no crow to eat?? Now you HJ fans can celebrate for making the playoffs since it is official, congratualtions!, But I will stand behind my statement they will not win again this year. They may be able to score once against Silsbee, but that would be it. Silsbee 35 - HJ 7. 8) ;D ;D ;D

I go to Silbsee High...I hang with the basketball players all the time. And let me tell you something that I know of them. Silsbee will most likely will be better than they were last year but not too much but still better. I know they have a move in too. I won't mention his name or nothing but there's a move in for silsbee basketball team. Silsbee will have one Superstar and the rest of the team will be beast and the bench will be deep too. The way I see HJ is they do have three key weapons on thier team but nothing else. Benard stand out more on the team than Burrell and Turner but you have to look at the experience he has at playing basketball too cause he is older than everyone else so that what makes him stands out that well too. So without him they are nothing but either way they won't beat the Tigers anywhere this season. My pick is Silsbee goes undefeated in district and HJ finish second with 2 lost coming from Silsbee and OF is behind them somewhere back there.

I just want to say that I learned something this year. It not always about how your schedule look going in to district and all but it about who you play before district. Lets put it this way. Silsbee record is 4-4 now, and some fan would say that not a good record. But Silsbee has played tough teams all through pre-district. Houston Davis (7-0) lost 34-38, Diboll (7-1) lost 24-27, was suppose to play lumberton and newton but both games got cancelled due to hurricane Ike. They played jasper 2-5 (1-2) and lost 14-0 but wasn't having a good week though. As district came by they showed that those games were no fluke. They played WO-S once again the closest than any team in district as the last two years have been 14-7 in overtime but came up short. Then they rolled a 3 game winning streak over BC 21-0, OF 43-14 and tonight HF 42-7. You have to say that having a tough pre-district schedule will bring out that competitiveness out of you once district start.
