Yes, just found out about the pnuemonia last night. Asst. Coach is at the tournament with the varisity girls today

I do know that the Silsbee varsity is going to a tournament in LaPorte Thursday through Saturday. Last week we had a tournament in Barbers Hill and still went to PNG to play on Friday, so I couldn't answer your question Lightning.

It was a very good crowd, full of volleyball fans! Lots of cheering and clapping!

I personally don't want anyone to think we are actually trying to get rid of Champion! I think he would have a very difficult time trying to leave! There are not that many roads into and out of Silsbee.

I know I used to not post on here at all. And even quit reading it for awhile due to the drama. But there is alot of important information on this site and so I started reading it again. Mostly play the games though, no drama there

Go ahead and brag Bigcat! ;D No really, I always appreciated the fact that you never looked down on my daughter for playing two sports. She does devote more time to softball because it is what she loves most.

Playing another sport in High school helps these girls maintain friendships they have had since kindergarden. While playing on a travel team does create more friendships and memories it also takes a lot of their time where they can't go to someone's party or to the dance at school because they choose to play softball. Let's face it, these girls are teenagers and being a teenager is all about socializing. Not one of these girls want to become an outcast at their school because they never do anything with their classmates. Would you like to be the only one at your 10 year reunion who no one can remember because you were always doing something else? It is different for each individual girl. Some only want to do one thing and thats fine. Others choose to play another sport in high school and thats fine. I see the problem arinsing when they try to play 2 or more club, travel, or year round sports. There are very few times that high school volleyball will interfere with travel softball, and when it does it will be a hard choice for them to make. But it should be their choice.

After a couple of scrimmages Silsbee is coming together pretty well. Oh but maybe you meant top teams in 4a only?

Silsbee girls are definately achey and sore today! ;D Coach Thornton really upped the ante today. Freshman were dropping like flies!
