  1. So a buddy I coach with is  saying that his kids came back from one act play and that Sabine Pass ISD put on a play that portrayed bestiality between an actor and a horse.
  2. Obama is the enemy. In his mind he is doing the moral thing and that is why he is so evil.

  9. Frat boys have to rent their friends to begin with, and in a closed group with alcohol people feel like they can take on the world. Frat boys more times then not get knocked out also when a fight happens also.   I would be all for banning the frat, but at the same time if a rapper would have used these same lyrics it would have been a number one selling song and nobody would have cared.

  11.   Well there sure seems to be a lot of bad people within the school culture, and if a Columbine was the exception and not the norm I would agree with your statement.     At every school you have a drug culture, alcoholism,  a hatred of authority, foul mouths,  homosexuality, whores, bullying, and  I am just talking about the teachers. ;)   But in all seriousness if people are getting murdered in high school, then something is not right. And to blame Columbine type evil as a couple of bad apples and not at least wonder ,what in the world is allowing these types of acts, is something to think about.    Like C.S.Lewis said "An education without morals only makes one a more clever devil."

  13. No doubt one can be a moral person without believing in God, and the women you have mentioned has had a tough life and deserves praise for rising above her circumstances.   And if I was the devil I would attack the family structure because the family is a picture of the Godhead. Then people who have had a bad family life would take their distrust and put it onto God, and since "the thief ( Devil) only comes to kill, steal and destroy"  Satan will use all forms of evil to keep people deceived. But remember that Jesus took the punishment of the abuser so that the abused may find peace.  "For Jesus came that you may have life and have it more abundantly." John 10:10

  16. n this episode of EconPop, Andrew discusses the Coen Brother’s 1994 screwball comedy, The Hudsucker Proxy. Subjects include supply and demand, and the minimum wage. EconPop is the YouTube series that sifts through the haystack of popular culture to find the needle of economics within... and then stabs you with it! Starring comedian Andrew Heaton, EconPop takes a surprisingly deep look at the economic themes running through classic films, new releases, tv shows and more from the best of pop culture and entertainment. Heaton brings a unique mix of dry wit and whimsy to bear on the dismal science of economics and the result is always entertaining, educational and irreverent. It's Econ 101 meets At The Movies, with a dash of Monty Python.     [Hidden Content]
  17. Thomas Sowell: If treaties produced peace, there wouldn't have been a World War II     When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress on March 3, it was the third time he had done so. The only other person to address a joint session of Congress three times was legendary British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. The parallels between the two leaders do not end there. Both warned the world of mortal dangers that others ignored, in hopes that those dangers would go away. In the years leading up to World War II, Churchill tried to warn the British and the democratic nations in general of what a monstrous threat Hitler was. Despite Churchill’s legendary status today, he was not merely ignored but ridiculed at the time, when he was repeatedly warning in vain. Knowing that his warnings provoked only mocking laughter in some quarters, even among some members of his own party, he said on March 14, 1938, in the House of Commons, “Laugh but listen.” Read more at [Hidden Content]
  18. [Hidden Content]     Question: "Is the Word of Faith movement biblical?" Answer: Word of Faith teaching is decidedly unbiblical. It is not a denomination and does not have a formal organization or hierarchy. Instead, it is a movement that is heavily influenced by a number of high-profile pastors and teachers such as Kenneth Hagin, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Paul and Jan Crouch, and Fred Price. The Word of Faith movement grew out of the Pentecostal movement in the late 20th century. Its founder was E. W. Kenyon, who studied the metaphysical New Thought teachings of Phineas Quimby. Mind science (where "name it and claim it" originated) was combined with Pentecostalism, resulting in a peculiar mix of orthodox Christianity and mysticism. Kenneth Hagin, in turn, studied under E. W. Kenyon and made the Word of Faith movement what it is today. Although individual teachings range from completely heretical to completely ridiculous, what follows is the basic theology most Word of Faith teachers align themselves with. At the heart of the Word of Faith movement is the belief in the "force of faith." It is believed words can be used to manipulate the faith-force, and thus actually create what they believe Scripture promises (health and wealth). Laws supposedly governing the faith-force are said to operate independently of God's sovereign will and that God Himself is subject to these laws. This is nothing short of idolatry, turning our faith—and by extension ourselves—into god. From here, its theology just strays further and further from Scripture: it claims that God created human beings in His literal, physical image as little gods. Before the fall, humans had the potential to call things into existence by using the faith-force. After the fall, humans took on Satan's nature and lost the ability to call things into existence. In order to correct this situation, Jesus Christ gave up His divinity and became a man, died spiritually, took Satan's nature upon Himself, went to hell, was born again, and rose from the dead with God's nature. After this, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to replicate the Incarnation in believers so they could become little gods as God had originally intended. Following the natural progression of these teachings, as little gods we again have the ability to manipulate the faith-force and become prosperous in all areas of life. Illness, sin, and failure are the result of a lack of faith, and are remedied by confession—claiming God's promises for oneself into existence. Simply put, the Word of Faith movement exalts man to god-status and reduces God to man-status. Needless to say, this is a false representation of what Christianity is all about. Obviously, Word of Faith teaching does not take into account what is found in Scripture. Personal revelation, not Scripture, is highly relied upon in order to come up with such absurd beliefs, which is just one more proof of its heretical nature. Countering Word of Faith teaching is a simple matter of reading the Bible. God alone is the Sovereign Creator of the Universe (Genesis 1:3; 1 Timothy 6:15) and does not need faith—He is the object of faith (Mark 11:22;Hebrews 11:3). God is spirit and does not have a physical body (John 4:24). Man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26, 27; 9:6), but this does not make him a little god or divine. Only God has a divine nature (Galatians 4:8; Isaiah 1:6-11, 43:10, 44:6; Ezekiel 28:2; Psalm 8:6-8). Christ is Eternal, the Only Begotten Son, and the only incarnation of God (John 1:1, 2, 14, 15, 18; 3:16; 1 John 4:1). In Him dwelt the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9). By becoming a man, Jesus gave up the glory of heaven but not His divinity (Philippians 2:6-7), though He did choose to withhold His power while walking the earth as man. The Word of Faith movement is deceiving countless people, causing them to grasp after a way of life and faith that is not biblical. At its core is the same lie Satan has been telling since the Garden: “You shall be as God” (Genesis 3:5). Sadly, those who buy into the Word of Faith movement are still listening to him. Our hope is in the Lord, not in our own words, not even in our own faith (Psalm 33:20-22). Our faith comes from God in the first place (Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 12:2) and is not something we create for ourselves. So, be wary of the Word of Faith movement and any church that aligns itself with Word of Faith teachings.
  19. He is all about the Dollar!!  The Bible talks a lot about these guys and here is one example.   Jude  11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.     Also the Word of Faith is really a cult belief system within Christendom.
  20. Secretary of State John Kerry  United States Department of State  2201 C Street, N.W.  Washington, DC 20520 Dear Secretary Kerry: I find your opposition to congressional oversight offensive and hypocritical and your posture towards Israel deeply disturbing. Appearing on CBS News' “Face the Nation,” you described the letter forty-seven U.S. Senators signed and sent to Iranian officials regarding ongoing nuclear negotiations as “unconstitutional.” Congress has the constitutional responsibility to serve as a check-and-balance on the executive branch. As has been done with immigration, health care and many other issues, the Obama Administration is once again deliberately bypassing Congress and exceeding its constitutional authority. Frankly, your criticisms are hypocritical. You launched yourself into the public spotlight by directly and publicly criticizing the executive branch in a Senate committee hearing forty-four years ago. In 1985, you did more than just send a letter to a foreign nation—you flew to Nicaragua to negotiate with Daniel Ortega and other Sandinistas despite express opposition from the Reagan Administration. You describe the Senate letter as “unprecedented” and “wrong.” The fact is, your willingness to trust Iran and undermine Israel is what is unprecedented and wrong. Moreover, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently came to Washington and explained how a deal with Iran would spark a nuclear arms race in the Middle East, threaten Israel's existence and embolden terrorists around the world. Prime Minister Netanyahu is a Churchill in a world full of Chamberlains. Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East and Iran is the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism. As an American, I am embarrassed that you, Vice President Biden and other high-ranking administration officials boycotted Netanyahu’s address to Congress yet never miss an opportunity to visit with Iranian leaders. I have the greatest respect for your long record of service to our country, beginning with combat in Vietnam. During those difficult years, you risked your life in a war that many Americans experienced only from afar. I also respect your role as Secretary of State. Hopefully, you will extend respect to those faithfully executing their oath of office in the U.S. Senate and to Prime Minister Netanyahu, who like you, want to stop terrorism worldwide. Respectfully,   Governor Mike Huckabee To read this letter on my website please click here.

  23. So people can read them in their vernacular instead of the Greek or Latin or Hebrew which are all considered dead languages. A dead language is a language that nobody uses. So  the meaning of text written in these dead languages  have not changed over time, and a Bible translation can be double checked by modern scholars for authenticity purposes because of these dead languages.  Also that is why our human anatomy and the animals all have those greek names; because their meanings do not change over time and is also why we can trust the Bible. Because however one says "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" in the Greek when the "original" manuscripts where written back in the day is still the same in our present age. So to tidy all this up the KJV was a translation based on the "original" manuscripts and the Holman Bible Translation is based of off original manuscripts. I say this because a good number of people think the more modern day translations are based off of the KJV and that is not true. Now when it comes to Translation styles their is word-for-word translations and thought-for-thought translations. Now as far as why I use the Holman Bible is because of the Apologetic Study Bible that they put out .   So if one was to literally translate Romans 6:23 it would be something like this  Romans 6:23Young's Literal Translation (YLT) 23 for the wages of the sin [is] death, and the gift of God [is] life age-during in Christ Jesus our Lord. Young's Literal Translation (YLT) and this is how one would translate it into Ukraine  До римлян 6:23Ukrainian Bible (UKR) 23 Ð‘о заплата за гріх смерть, а дар Божий вічне життя в Христі Ісусі, Господі нашім!
