  1. Seems to be the case. Just gonna have to show up and take that "L".
  2. I'm sure he will. (You capitalized "TU". Must have been a mistake.)
  3. Dang it! So if did not score last week that means we can not score this week? If we had known that.....
  4. How many Indian tears will each helmet hold?
  5. For those of you who knew or played for Coach Dennis. He was a great coach and is an ever better man. So happy the district included him in this anniversary celebration. [Hidden Content]
  6. Lee's win was big for them. They play with a lot of pride, just will not be able to hold up for 4 quarters. Sterling survived a game they could have easily lost. Might have tempered their over confidence just a little. As for Friday- Lee plays hard for 2 quarters and half the stadium will be singing "Poor Little Ranger Boys". Then the Rangers pull away late and the other half of the stadium will be singing "The Night We Drove Ol' Dixie Down". Good times, Great memories.
  7. That would be the biggest upset in the history of this game.
  8. That would be more accurate than a pre-season poll.
  9. Nah. They are constructing the new Transportation Building in the area that was a vacant field. For many years over flow parking was in the field. Just happens to be on the visitor/Sjolander side.
  10. Visitor side is very limited. Home side has more space available.
  11. Shuttle for GCM/ Port Neches-Groves Game (Thurs.) & REL/RSS Game (Fri.) Due to ongoing construction of the Transportation Center, parking will be limited. A shuttle will be provided for the GCM/Port Neches game Thursday as well as the REL/RSS game Friday. The shuttle will run from Second Baptist Church, 6227 N. Main, starting at 5:30 p.m. and returning after the games. You are encouraged to take the shuttle or carpool due to the large crowds expected.
  12. Pretty cool. My uncle was the head football coach at Beaumont French. He left right before they made the state finals. [Hidden Content]
  13. From GCCISD: Good morning. Just a reminder that #thegame50 is Friday night, so join us at Stallworth to celebrate the golden anniversary of the Lee-Sterling game. A couple of things: Kick off is at 7 p.m. BUT we will be showing a pre-game documentary of the history of the game starting at 6:30, so get there and be seated early because you don't want to miss this!. Parking will be at a premium so we encourage you to have your tickets in advance (they can be purchased at Lee and Sterling). Tickets are going fast! Also, additional parking will be available at Second Baptist Church. Shuttles will begin running at 5:30 p.m. and will also run after the games. It's going to be a great event so come cheer on the Ganders and the Rangers!
  14. The Baytown Sun is reporting that they expect 16K fans in attendance for Friday's 50th anniversary of The Game. Ticket sales have been through the roof. I have heard, that due to construction in the visitor parking area, the district will be providing a shuttle bus to the stadium. This is like taking a time machine to the 70's and 80's. This game used to be so big in this town. Man, what happened. Hoping for a good show. Beat the L out of REL!
  15. My son and I were talking last night about this incident. He reminded me that during his sophomore year GCM played at Barbers Hill. It was a rainy, mud bowl of a field. He tweaked his knee due to the playing conditions. (GCM won by the way. They still have not stopped D'Martie Allen.) Funny how that happened. Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.
  16. From the outside looking in.... [Hidden Content]
  17. Why should Rosen be impressed by Kyle Field? It's not like UCLA is PVAM or Ball State. They play big boy football in the PAC 10 too.
  18. Come on down a pick up your win. We will just bow down to your superiority. I mean you beat Silsbee. So that makes you automatically awesome.
