    Money was only one factor. Being an AD was maybe the biggest carrot. I could easily see him staying 3-4 years and moving to an AD position in a larger district.

    He came with Coach Boyd from Killeen. Has been the OC and Head Track Coach at GCM. I do not believe he has HC experience in football. Really a great guy. Players at GCM like him. They will work hard for him.

    Bren is a good coach and an even better person. He is an excellent choice.

    He was the HC at James Madison. Withers spent one year as defensive coordinator at the University of Minnesota prior to his time at North Carolina. He also has been an assistant coach at the University of Texas (1998-2000; defensive backs), Louisville (1995-97; defensive coordinator/assistant head coach/defensive backs), Southern Mississippi (1992-93; defensive backs/assistant special teams), Tulane (1991; outside linebackers) and Austin Peay (1988-90; defensive coordinator/defensive backs; tight ends/special teams).
